i've wrote a few poems about my past and my father and i want him to know how i feel but it's hard for me to express when talking so should i send him these two poems?

daddy can you look at me
can i be your little girl
can you give me all of your love
and try to give the world
will you respect me
can you show me love
will you greet me at the door
just to give me a hug
can we go back
to how it use to be
when you were my dad
and never hurt me
can i be your pumpkin
like way back when
do you think i'll ever hear that
ever again
all i want is love
the love i once had
all i want is you
all i want is a dad

opinions on the poems are welcomed too.

When people come over as guests I am the best host, doing everything to make them comfortable. But those who are my family members help out while they are here by cleaning, doing dishes, tidying up. They try to help out with the things I can't get to while I tend to my 4-month old infant and rambunctious toddler.
Anyway, sometimes I ask people like my grandmother not to do certian things like clean up my son's room. I have all his toys categorized, like play doh stuff goes in the play doh bucket and hot wheels go in another bucket, so on and so forth. Well, of course when my son and I are trying to play with play doh I have to turnt he room upside down to find all the pieces that we need. I get really irritated and I even say things to people like "hey listen thanks for helping but I like to clean things up a certain way and when others do it I get real disorganized and have to redo the cleaning."
Now am I being too fussy, I could just keep my mouth shut.

Can anyone lead me in the right direction to possibly find my birth parents? I was adopted in the 80's and live in Georgia. Our house burnt down a couple years ago and consequently the only paperwork we had about the adoption went down in flames with the house. Again, does anyone know where I could possibly start my search to find my birth parents?

I was engaged to a man that had a felony, at 17 he was in a drinking and driving accident and the passenger was killed. He did 4 years in jail. Then at 23 he went back for a 1 1/2 because he picked his ex up from the bar and his other ex was there and went to the cops and said he hit her. So my parents think that because of these things I should not be involved with him because it makes me look like I have poor judgement and not being a good mother. This was in his past, and he has changed, are my parents right? I'm I wrong? How am I supposed to ditch on the man I love because of his past, yet is that what I have to do to do right by my daughter. I need advice, help!!

For a while now I've been feeling alittle differently about my mother, now she and I have never been really close. I've always connected with mio Father, than with her. At first I though, this is normal. But now I think I actually dislike my mother, she hasn't done anything wrong or anything. But i can't really talk to her, or have a conversation with her. We have nothing in common, sometimes i even wonder if she really is my mother ( she is (science proves it).

I feel very guility feeling this way and I try to like her like normal daughters do, but i can't. Is there anything i can do to change how I've been feeling for the past 3 years. I've even seen a therapist about it, she says there's nothing you can really do. You cannot force youself to like someone, no matter who or what they are.

Help.

I have been married for 10 months, my 18yr old sister n law lives with me and my husband and our 4 children. She is driving me crazy.....she lives rent free, we never ask her for anything but to save her money and maybe every once in a while to watch the kids. My problem is that my husband feels that we should be the one to buy her tolietries such as soap, toothpaste, washing powder and things of that nature. I feel she needs to buy her own and start being more responsible for her personal things of that nature. I buy those items for the house but I just feel she should buy her own toletries. I'm I being childish? I just want her to grow up and start learning how to be responsible and stop depending on "big brother" so much. Please help

My mother gave away her child in high school because no one accepted the fact that she was bi racial. my mother was seeing a black male for three years and they were serious during high school he had planned on marrying my mother before she got pregnant. he tried like hell to contact my mother during the pregnancy and no one let him be in contact with my mother. she had the child and he tried to come see my mother and her mother my grandma would not allow him to see her she had him removed from the hospital. My mother was forced to give her baby up for adoption through the catholic charities I have contacted them and they gave me forms for my mother to fill out but she is scared that my sister will resent her also she doesnt think the family will approve. she is afraid she also has emotional issues. Is their any way that I can find out without the biological mother? how do I get her help in finding her?

I am an adult, but I am a very nice person who does not want to go yelling at other people or putting others down. My sister wants to control my thoughts, my religious beliefs ( she is a very strict christian and i am a Gnostic christian) , what i should or should not be watching on television, what i can believe or not believe, and now the new one is how I tell her a story which is the craziest thing i ever heard. She is always harsh and judgemental if i am not like her and its not done out of love. She cannot stand if people are not like her in the family. I get the most of the crap in the family from her. I cannot deal with it anymore so could someone please tell me what I can do or say the next time she makes a harsh judgemental or controlling comment towards me? The only time she is really nice to me is when she is talking about herself! Listen to this, she really had a suspision of online college because I am getting A's, how insulting is that. I work hard for my grades.

I am in a serious relationship with a girl and we are having trouble with being so far away. We both went to college together and then moved back home and continued our relationship. It's been 3 years since and she lives about 2.5 hours away. Our issue is not one of trust that you normally see in these relationships, it is life situations. Her father has an illness and is in a permanent care home. She does not want to move to where I live because she feels like that would be abandoning her dad and her mother, who is obviously having a tough time. I understand this. However, I cannot move down until September because of career issues, I just got a raise and would hurt my career by bailing now. Plus there are no jobs where she is. We are stuck apart!

We've tried to just be patient, but we are tired of this and she is getting lonely. All of our friends are near where I live, that was the plan to move in together, but her dad's situation has really made things hard. Suggestions?

.....having gone through this terrible ordeal?

I teach in a university and this young lady has decided to express what has happened to her after 16yrs of complete silence. I did my best to listen to her sincerely, let her speak without me interrupting. I emphasized over and over that it wasn't her fault. And I referred her to a local counseling service that deals with surviors of this experience. Anything else I can do? I feel like I'm missing something. I'm very proud of this person for having the strength to fight back and regain her life.

My daughter told me December 23,2005 that she wants nothing more to do with me. She refuses to tell me why. I do not know what I have done. She visits and stays in touch with my ex in laws and ex husband yet refuses to speak to me. I have begged for her to please give me an answer either writing me a letter or through email she continues to ignore me. I have a granddaughter that I cannot see because of all of this. I stay in so much turmoil over this I cannot seem to move forward. She is my only daughter and my only granddaughter. Has anyone out there had similar or same situation and how did you go about coping when your adult child removes themselves from your life.

I am the fitting room attendant for a large mass merchandiser. Last night I had a situation in which a couple came to our fitting rooms with 3 girls ages 9, 6 and 20 months. The girls were all trying on swimsuits. It was the father who went into one of our large family fitting rooms with the girls while the mother stayed out and waited, telling me that they were "daddy's girls." I am wondering what others think of this situation. I think it should have been the mother who went in with the girls not their dad, considering the ages of two of the girls.

A family members ex-girlfriend shows up after nine months and a couple of days with a baby she claims is his. She doesn't even tell him herself, she sends her sister to show him the baby and deliver the news. He doesn't believe the baby is his, so before he tells his 7 year old daughter, she has a sister, he spends three months seeing the baby, etc. Now after 4 months the Ex says, the baby is not his. Which to be honest I don't think any of us really thought she was in the first place. Although I am a Christian and do believe in forgiveness, I personally want to BEAT HER DOWN(I am only human). The thing that really pisses me off are the fact that she approached him, he had no clue she was even pregnant. She had three months before he told his daughter about the baby, and she didn't tell him then. Now he has to tell his 7 year old daughter who is in love with her "baby sister" that the baby is not his. So what would you do?
