I know that legally if neither the father or step mother claims him on their taxes i can claim him. But the problem lies here. For 2 years my son has been living with his father. His father is an illegal from mexico(long story) and doesnt file taxes. Last year i claimed him on my taxes and just gave his dad the money. This year because of a fallen out between myself and his wife(the step mom) she says she's going to claim him this year. I know that since he lives with them that she has the legal right to claim him, and she said she "might" claim him this year-because she is mad at me. So anyhow she has 3 other kids and im not exactly sure she will claim him since she's already claiming 3 and she's never claimed him before and she said she "might" claim him. I would love to see my son get this money and would love to hand it over to the dad. Now what do you think about me claiming him anyways since im not positive that she'll be claiming him. How does that work if in the end she did??

I explain to her that I don't feel confortable around her niece and I don't want to go, but she isist that I should go. I want to show my love for my aunt and that I do care about her. I really don't want to go though. How can I get out of this?????

As usual my day sucked and my family just made it worse. My brother and I cannot get along and so in order to combat the issue, the rule is i have the downstairs, and my brother has the upstairs until a parent comes home. Unfortunately, when they come home the whole point of having the 1st floor to myself is ruined because the reason that time is my favorite part of everyday is for a short hour or so, i can do whatever i want, and that is my favorite time of the day. And then of course once in a while, i get annoyed, and ask repetitively for them to just go to another room, i mean they are cutting in on my 'me time', and my younger brother that is about a foot taller and around twice my weight, punches me and says something stupid like 'her breath stunk' and my parent will send me to my room crying bc it hurt and my day is ruined. please could someone explain the logic behind this, bc i dont see any. advice for future welcomed too.

i just got my dad's email address from my sister when i talked to her today and i decided to email my dad. was it ok to send?

hey dad,

long time no talk. sorry i left again i just can't be in that house. it brings me down. sorry if i've ever disappointed you. i just want to be daddy's little girl again but i think those days are long gone. i hate how everyone in that house talks behind my back like i'm the bad guy. yes, i ranaway but i graduated highschool top of my class, and college. i live on my own and i'm surviving. be proud will you? hope to hear from you someday. i don't agree with the way you raised me but you did the best you could under the circumstances and i respect that. i don't have a phone at the moment so you can't call me. if you want to say anything feel free to email me anytime. i love you and always will... you're my daddy.

love,

Natasha

What do you think about leaving young girls, ages 2 or 3 for a few hours alone with grandpa or uncle, etc? Would most people agree that its best to heed on the side of caution and avoid this situation with all the things we see on the news, etc?

I asked a question, and refered to Jesus as saying he came to turn mother against daughter and daughter against mother. This is truly false. I did not intentionally try to lie, I simply did not have the facts sorted out correctly before I posted it. The correct statement that is true is that in the end times mother will be turned against daughter and daughter against father and you know the rest, I am a witness to this being a true fact from the bible and grateful that the spirit of God comforts me in the place of my mom. Once again I am truly sorry for the mistake.

Be honest. I don't mean do you do anything about it, or that you want it to happen, but does it?

I think it's one of the challenges to step parents that no one talks about and that those who aren't step parents don't understand how it can happen (it happens because marrying their mother or father doesn't automatically make you relate to them as your child--it takes a while for a bond to develop, if it ever does).

Just curious.
