the honor system doesnt work, thats for sure. and states sometimes talk a lot of junk, but dont follow through.. so what you need, is some heat on the case.
if your caseworker or cs dept isnt on the ball, contact your Regional FEDERAL CS Office. In writing only (never phone calls they can deny them and usually do nothing) send it by FAX ONLY. this way, there is proof it was sent and proof it was recieved. In your letter include your contact info, case number, arrears amount, the problem and ask them what they can do about it.
Send a copy of that letter (FAX ONLY) to your states Attorney Generals Office.
Send a copy of that letter (FAX ONLY) to your states Governor.
Send a copy of that letter (FAX ONLY) to NCSE also.
that 4 faxes of one letter you need to send out.
since you have had no luck with state (cs people) then go to their boss's the Governor and Feds. make sure you call them once a week to ask the status, if they still blow you off, then just keep faxing weekly until they know your name by heart.
i just tried the WV.gov site and its down. it could have saved me lots of time, so i'll just have to do it the hard way and dig for it....

Are you saying the state don't care, did you go through Friend of the Court (FOC)? If so there are certain reasons why they can't collect some of them are the man is in jail, in another country, or he don't have a job himself.
If none of those are the case with your Ex-husband you should talk to a lawyer. What was decreed when y'all got divorced, if he is not following the Judge's orders the court should be told about it.

i live in wv as well i have a 6 year old son and my ex husband is ordered 2 pay child support he is now $9000 behind and nothing has gotton done yet i am expected to allow him to see our son when he is scheduled to but he is not consistant with his visitation he comes and goes when he pleases but if i tell him no you cant see him anymore he threatens to turn me in altho i dont care anymore i have put my foot down i completly understand your frustration in not getting any support we need new laws and we need them enforced!!!! i just read in the paper that a man in marietta ohio got sent to prison for being $8000 behind so i think its outragous that wv dont follow up with these so called laws where when you get so far behind you lose your drivers license then your taxes then jail anyways i understand where your coming from and i am from wv so i REALLY understand good luck

Fight for your rights. If he is the daddy of your kids, he should pay for child support. If you are strong about this, he will end up paying so keep fighting!
