A family members ex-girlfriend shows up after nine months and a couple of days with a baby she claims is his. She doesn't even tell him herself, she sends her sister to show him the baby and deliver the news. He doesn't believe the baby is his, so before he tells his 7 year old daughter, she has a sister, he spends three months seeing the baby, etc. Now after 4 months the Ex says, the baby is not his. Which to be honest I don't think any of us really thought she was in the first place. Although I am a Christian and do believe in forgiveness, I personally want to BEAT HER DOWN(I am only human). The thing that really pisses me off are the fact that she approached him, he had no clue she was even pregnant. She had three months before he told his daughter about the baby, and she didn't tell him then. Now he has to tell his 7 year old daughter who is in love with her "baby sister" that the baby is not his. So what would you do?

I agree with Mike first off. That should be done right away. The rest of you as adults can understand what is going on, maybe not the why's but you can the whats. The one that isn't going to understand any of it, or very little, is the 7 y/o daughter. This has got to be totally confusing to her, plz don't let her get lost in the shuffle of things.

You should encourage this family member to pursue a DNA test to establish the paternity of the child, and if it does turn out that she's his daughter, he should try and obtain custody.
