I have been there twice and am planning another trip for next winter. I recommend that you use their website and sign-up. Once you have a log-in you can go into the site and explore your options, making a list of favourites for rides, attractions, and special events and you can save itineraries for planning the trip (they give you all of the options such as which resort tostay at and the types of park passes to get). We stayed at Port Orleans and used the extra park hours that go along with being a Disney resort guest. We were there over Christmas and New Year and I can honestly say no-one was disappointed. Quite the contrary, we were all just amazed at the holiday spirit that pervaded the parks. If you want, email me and I'll see what else I can tell you.

I agree with Elusive O, stay at the wilderness lodge, can eat at your room. make sure you go off season. I just stayed there this summer, but we ate in the park b/c disney was offering a promotion where you received a free meal plan for each 7 day pass bought. Check out the disney websites to see what promotions they are offering. BTW, we went the last week of august....it was hot, and it rained, but it was worth going b/c we didn't have many crowds. we were all able to get on all the rides we wanted to go on, and my 4 year old neice was able to meet all the characters and go on the same ride multiple times. she was also able to see all the shows she wanted to see. There were 9 people in our group, aged 4-61.

off season... stay at fort wilderness... get a package deal (usually something like three days magic kingdom two days epcot center<-- that's a five day package) meet back for meals @ the fort (don't buy from the vendors!) the trailers that you rent at the for have all, kitchen etc..... so buy your own food and stuff....

it is what my parents did four kids two adults... and one or two seniors my grandparents, and/or great aunts.. (my parents did seven trips total!) my father was army... enlisted soldier, not officer! so the budget was always tight! but, they always made it fun and special...oh... we took trollies, trains into the park at crack of dawn....they run all day while parks are open.. bypassing the lines to get in!! we brought snacks.... beat the lines! hehe.... and then lunch and dinner we would go back to fort wilderness.....
have fun!! :)
oh, I think off season is summer? not sure anymore...
