I'm 20 years old and have been having problems at home, just getting along with my parents and stuff..they sort of want me to move out. Anyway, my boyfriend is in Japan and we've been together for 3 years (he's in the Navy) and his mom lives real close to me, and her and I are like two peas in a pod. I was thinking about asking her if I can stay with her for a while..how do I ask? I'm afraid of her saying no.

We cast him off, after what he did to me, then after months apart, he came round grovelling. We had been to a BBQ, we were all drunk, but it was no excuse, but he was so sorry for what he did, we forgave him. Late last year, we arrived home, my daughter, she was 17, was crying. She told me, my father in law came round, when he saw she was alone, he made suggestions, she asked him to leave, but he came in to our house, and "touched" her where he should not, then said "are you afraid, let me feel your heartbeat" She ordered him out. I went ballistic, phoned him, told him to **** off!! never come near us again. I have since found out, he was suspended from work, for touching up the younger women. Is he a peadophile? he is 60, my youngest girl is 9 yrs old, i think he is trying to get back in with us, should i just kill the bastard?

A family holiday dinner is scheduled for noon. Eight of the 12 guests are there on time. The other 4 (dad, mom, 2-year-old, and infant) are 30-45 minutes late. The food is getting cold, and the missing family doesn't call. Do we eat or do we wait?

Ok here it goes... My step son is grounded for bad grades.. He is only allowed to use his cell phone for 30 minutes a day to talk to his girlfriend and only allowed to see her on the weekends until his grades come up-last night i overheard him on the phone- when he was supposed to be going to sleep- took the phone from him and proceeded to tell him he was not getting it back.. Well, the phone started ringing looked at the caller ID it was his girlfriend - when i opened it up there on the screen is a picture of her in his lettermans jacket and nothing else... Needless to say I was livid! Told him to delete the pictures and that now he will never get his cell phone back ... He is 16 yrs old and I cannot beleive these kids think this is appropriate.. My husband is considering going to the girls parents to let them know what is going on and is even considering sending his son to live with his mom.. There have been more problems then this- and we have no idea what to do.. Please help..

Hi, I am 15 years old and I just found out that when I was 3 years old my dad cheated on my mom. I found a tape where my mom, dad, and the "mistress" went on a talk show to talk about the cheating. I also found out that my dad got the mistress pregnant and I had no idea nor do I know if I have another sibling or not (the baby wasn't born then and I'm not sure if it was my dad's baby.) Now my Dad and Mom have been divorced since I was 4 and I live with my mom and see my dad every other weekend. I love my dad. I wanted to spend every minute with him. He was like superman to me. But I fell uncomfortable about this. My question is whether I should tell my mom that I know and ask her more about it or should I just forget about it. I'm so nervous to confront anyone and I fell really uncomfortable. What should I do? Just ask if anyone needs more details about it.

My little baybee god son is going to be 6 next month and I know that his mom is going to be throwing him a party. I love my little baybee and I plan on getting him a nice present but I have been to his first 5 birthday partys and the people are just obnixous. They are loud and ghetto and act high and mighty if they are wearing name brand clothes are you aren't.
Last year I went and I was so embarassed because many of the adults at the party started going off on employees at the bowling alley that we were in. The employees asked the children to please stop running before they get hurt. Well I didn't see anything wrong with that, they weren't rude or anything just trying to do their job. The parents (ghetto females) started going off yelling right their in the bowling alley saying that if kids aren't supposed to run then you shouldn't have kid parties. I love my god son but I don't want to deal with these females again. Should I go to his bday party?

i don't understand why the preteens are starting to act like young adults/adults. when you have sex too young you're basically robbing yourself of a real childhood. i've heard about 11 and 12 year olds out there screwing people.. is it the parent's fault? is it neglect? or are people just maturing faster these days?
but either way, that's way too young in my opinion.

My bro-in-law and his two kids live in an apartment with me (age 16) and my stepfather (age old). The children, ages 2 and 3, are both Autistic. This is because their mother did drugs during her pregnancy with them.

She left her husband and children behind before she was married and had her kids for drugs, and then after her son was born (the now 2 year old) she left the family for an abusive man.

Since she's left, her children have been receiving therapy to ease their Autistic symptoms. My nephew said his first few words only a few weeks ago.

But the thing that gets me depressed is that these sweet, wonderful, adorable children are growing up without her mother.

And she's missing out on this, on all of this, of their growing up, of their speaking, their happiness... she's missing it all.

What can I do to cheer myself up?

One of our family members was turning 75 years old. I planned a surprise dinner party at a restaurant for 25+ guests. Some guests were flying in from out of state. It was a BIG deal.

Everything was planned, had been confirmed and paid for. From the beginning we stated it was a SURPRISE party to honor a man we love. EVERYONE knew it was a SURPRISE party. There was no confusion about it being a surprise.

My sister-in-law took it upon herself to ruin the surprise. She told the Birthday Boy a week before his party about people coming from out of town. Then she claimed she had made all the arrangments, and tried to change the venue to her own home!

It's not like she has a reputation for doing this. Nobody expected her to do it. We're all stunned. She is now angry at us which is even more confusing.

What do we say to her? Ruining a mans 75th Birthday? There's no question that she KNEW it was a suprise. She knew it for a year.

What do you say to someone like that?

My mother ( and my 40 year old not working in ten years brother) after my mother's house burned down. I am realizing just how mean and evil she is. If I say up, she says dow. She is also deliberately hurtful. I want her out but I can't put her out. She then says that I will be punished for disrespecting my mother. Isn't respect mutual? Any advice?

The only time a friend of mine calls me is when she needs a baby-sitter for her one-year-old son. She's 21, lives with her sister because she got kicked out of her parents' house for getting pregnant by a black guy (as a matter of clarification, I don't agree with that), the baby's-daddy never comes around, and she constantly wants to go get drunk. I'm 20, live with my 22-year-old boyfriend, and have my own responsibilities. This is how every conversation goes:
Me: "Hello?"
Her: "Hey!"
Me: "Hey! What's up?"
Her: "You gotta work tomorrow?"
Me: "Yeah, 8:30-5:00, Monday thru Friday. As always. Why?"
Her: "Well, can you take off? Cause I need a baby-sitter for Marques."
Me: "Sorry, no. Just started that job in December, remember?"
Her: "Well, I need a baby-sitter"
I don't say much after that. She usually just says "Fine" and hangs up when she gets the hint. I'm never invited out, just to babysit. What should I tell her? I don't like getting rude with people but this is ridiculous!

My sister wants to come down in for Febuary Vacation to see my baby (I'm due in 5 days). However I have a few issues with this and I tried to polietly tell her that we would rather she didn't come down because it's going to be busy and I'd rather she wait till I came home in May, to see the baby.

However she continues to insist and I don't know what to do. My reasons for not wanting her to come down are simple.

1. She waited until after the fact to let people know that she or the girls are sick. At Thanksgiving she waited two days to tell me she and my nieces had strep throat...which I ended up with. Then She waited until AFTER my babyshower to tell me that my niece had scarlet fever. So everyone was exposed at my shower.
I do not want to risk the chance of my child getting sick.

2.We have no room here. Honestly this is a really small apartment and I know she can't afford to rent a hotel room.

Details to be added

Think about it, what did make you want to start? I have not smoked for twenty five years, but I started smoking at the age of eight.I stoped smoking at the age of thirty three, after I could see what dammage it was doing to me. Trust me it was not easy to quit, in fact it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I tried for five years to quit before I got the job done. The only way that works is cold turkey, just make up your mind and do it. I think I started because of second hand smoke from my Dad smoking in the car while I was in there with him. There was no way to get away from it, so my body just gave in to it. By the time I was eight my body had to have it, so I found myself stealing ciggeretts from my dad and anywhere else I could get them. IF YOU DONT WANT TO QUIT FOR YOURSELF DO IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE. SOMEONE LIKE YOUR CHILD, YOUR MOTHER, YOUR BROTHER.YOUR SISTER OR ANYONE, JUST DO IT.

He and I are two diffrent people, with one dominant over the other. i hate life right now. I just finished enrolling at a community college, but I dont know what to do with my life.

I just want to be rich now. Get money, get out of the ghetto, away from home and have peace of mind again.

My husbands brother and his wife are upset with us. They say we copy everything they do. They lived together for about 4 years. Just about that time is when I met my husband. We started dating and had been dating 6 months when His brother got engaged and they had a 5 month engagement. About when they got married My husband proposed to me. We were in love and ready to get married only we waited a year to get married because we had to get the finances all lined up and it took us that long to find a church. Well ever since that time they have felt that we have been copying them. My husband and his brother both got houses around the same time even though his brother is 27 and my husband is 24. We got our dog first they got theirs and I wasn't upset. But they got a cat and we eventually got one too. They said we copyed them. See the problem is because they are older and are doing things first every time we do something they are going to say we are copying them. How should we handle this?
