After all our parents brought us into this world, supposedly raised us with love & sacrifice & are as much a part of us as our children. But most of us love our children at least a little more (sometimes a whole lot more) Why is that?

i just found out that my 9 yr old daughter has lice , she was at miL's house last week so i called to let her know.. she said to me yeah i know she has lice she has had it for 3 weeks !!! i was like what? she said well your daughter was "too embarrassed to tell you" so i (MiL) got the shampoo and tried to wash it out!! i said WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME? HOW CAN YOU PUT ALL OF US (HUBBY,ME & 4 YR OLD DAUGHTER) IN JEOPARDY OF GETTING THIS... she says to me " i checked the younger daughter and she didn't have it, & if you and hubby get lice , well thats part of being a parent , deal with it!! needless to say she was lucky i was on the phone , so i couldn't STAB her to death. after i tell her how irresponsible she is says to me " how am i irresponsible , i spent 50$ buying that special shampoo for YOUR DAUGHTER and then i spent 2 hours combing her hair , 2 weekends in a row" ..when i ask her why she didn't tell me so i could WASH everything and she says " should of , could of, would of"

(we were never married) He went into jail, only been with my daughter 9 mths of her life. i let my daughter see his parents time to time. fast forward now, my daughter is 6yrs old, I am married to a great man we have another child, well I just found out my daughter's father will be out in 3mths, so i need help on some info, he is not on her birth certificate so i want my husband to adopted my daughter so he has all the legal rights, can i do this without my kids father getting involved and what else can i do to make sure that he does not have no rights in her life please someone help me out with some information ( i live in ill so i know that every state has different rules). thank you

I have a sister in law who has major problems. She has been involved with drugs, is a pathalogical liar, would call people in the family to ask for help and then had an excuse for not taking it. This summer she faked a suicide attempt, then wouldn't stay in treatment, and has been at my Mother in law's house ever since. She doesn't get out of bed and my MIL takes care of her in every way. In addition to working a full-time job, she goes home to cook for her, and pays her credit card bills! SIL is 35 years old and refuses to leave the house, unless it is for a weekend trip to see her old boyfriend, or a day of shopping. But she can't go do anything to help herself because she is afraid of the boogey man. I am of the opinion that she is faking it because she doesn't want to deal with life, but in any case, I don't feel comfortable having her around my 7 year old, and really don't want her around the baby that is due in June. Can I be ugly and refuse for her to see my baby?

My fiance and I have been together for 5 years. He's currently off at school, we have a long distance thing going. we see each other all the time and talk to each other and on we talk online. He came home for xmas and i was going through his things.. I probably shudnt of but anyways i found a pack of condoms in this school bag and they were empty. We dont use condoms . I think is messing around. Then he left his messenger signed in and i see and open window.. it was girl that i knew . So i started talking to her u know pretending that i was him and she started saying that she missed him and she had fun the other night at the party with him and the kiss that he gave her was nice. I was in so much tears after finding all of this out. I still havent confronted him as yet, cuz i want to go about it the right way. I went to the doctor for testing for std diseases.. I'm awaiting my results at the moment. What shud i do... How shud i confront him about the condoms in this bag?

I am a married Mom of 4 great kids (ages 3, 6, 8, 9) - so I can't do anything drastic like volunteering for the Peace Corps obviously - but I just don't feel like I'm living my life to it's full potential.
Some things I want to do are possible now, some are not, nor ever will be. I would love to move to Australia, I want to live in the country w/ some acreage, I want to volunteer & help people, I want to get my college degree, I want to lose weight, I want to show my kids the country (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Disneyworld), I want to learn a musical instrument, I want to scrapbook my photos.....
All of my "life list" items take either time or money & with 4 small kids - I have neither. Or they require my hubby to be onboard w/ me about it (i.e. move to Australia) and that is not even a possibility, he's been w/ his company for 20 yrs.
I have ADD, with that comes a need for "all or nothing" - meaning volunteering an hour a week at a shelter just won't do it for me. Advice?

I am so tired of hearing about traditional family values. I am a parent of four kids. I have been a stay at home mom and a working mom. We have raised our kids to be successful in the modern world. I belive in progressive family values. This does not mean we have no values, morals or religion!

I would like to see other families like our's join together an become voice for common sense progressive values in this country!

I found only one website which mentions progressive family values www.todays-family.net, have you heard of others? How can we start a movement?

charges back .well go to motley fool and it tells you how to claim your money back it works my daughter got six hundred back for charging her 25 pound when she was over drawn this was over two years as buy law they can only charge you 12 the most .good luck

shes a good mother its just that her inlaws are trying to tell her what to do supposedly out of "concern" for the baby. its not like she takes him out uncovered or anything. he is well dressed for the weather. this problem has grown into bigger situations. need help please!

I have a 2 year old son with Him and we live in a small apartment.I dont love Him anymore, He is an alcoholic and i just have nothing in common with Him. we have a great kid who we both cherish completly, and both would want to have live with us if we were to split.

So heres my problem, I am a student, i havent worked in 4 years, I have no income and no place to go even if i did leave Him. There is no way i can just move out and float around and crash on couches, espically with a kid. My family is supportive, but they smoke a lot of ciggerettes in the house and i cant have my son in that kind of environment.
WHAT DO I DO? I have been "in the system" before, as far as Welfare goes. The last thing i want to do is move to the trailor park on government assistance.
Also, if I leave Him and my son stays with him untill i can establish a home, wont it be a lot harder for me to get primary custody????
Please help me, i am desprate enough to ask you guys..............

If you accidentally opened someone else's mail but didn't read the contents would you own up? My mum did that today with my younger brothers bank statement and although she realised her mistake without reading the statment, I know that my brother is the kind of person who will be unforgiving of our mums mistake. So I've thrown it away and my mum and I will say nothing about it. I've broken the law by doing that, but I know what my brother is like, and he can always get a replacement statement anyway. What would you have done?

We are family planning. Right now I am in college. By the time I am finished and have a job I will be 31 ish. So lets say I have a baby around 32 or 33 and he will be 47 or 48 (15 years older than me). Do you think that is too old to start a family? What would you do? Would you forget about it all together? I know we have alot of love to give and will be better off financially as well.

my husband told me he's not good enough for me . there was just 1 minor thing he did , for him it was really bad , n its haunting him till now n for the past 3 months ( not an affair ) . it almost happened again yesterday but he managed to stop it . the last it happened . . it hurt both of us but wasnt as much as it hurt him cause he wouldnt do such thing to hurt me but things just happen . i was there for him n hoping i could comfort him but it did no good . he was afraid i would leave him if it had happened again . i said to him that i would be there to help him n not abandon him . i told him i m sorry for myself i could not make the man i love to feel he was good enough for me . tell me what can i do to make him feel we are good enough for each other . it just hurts me to know that he feels hes not good enough .

I'm having a murder mystery party and it's set in a ski lodge!

- serve hot choc
- put "snow" around roof and entry of house
- have skis laying around
-make a sign for the lodge with fake logo
-fire in fireplace

I cant think of anything else to do!?

my boyfriend and i are long time together about 4 years, but his family do not like me becaus i am deaf and mute girl. i become pregnant about 9th about to birth a baby. my boyfriend wants to force me to abort it now, i told him why? he begins to beat me a lot and even hits my prenant, i feel very painful lot and cry a lot. my boyfriend becomes afraid because he thinks i am going to die, he taks me to hospital and birth a beautiful boy baby. i found out he forces me because he will go about to marry another woman on 3 february.

i am shocking but i do not know what happen the forward he does for my baby because i have no job to care my baby. i come to his parents to show them their grandson, they say my baby must stay with them and send me away.

i feel very painful and what will i do now and forward???please help me solution what do you think???

My little sisters house burned, and so I let her and her daughter stay with me. Was planning to help her get back on her feet. Well, I came home and she was high on meth, and I realized she'd stolen some of my jewelry, including a $5000 engagement ring given to me by my deceased husband. She is in jail now, and I have her daughter. My dad wants me to forgive her and drop the charges. I think she should have to suffer the consequences. What do you think?

I live in Ohio, I am a good parent and I do not have any drug or alcohol problems, etc. My oldest son has gotten into some trouble and is on probation. I told his Prob. Officer I knew about him badmouthing behind my back, forgot about my son while he was in JDC, and I was aware of him plotting with other parent's family to send my son to them. My son and I overheard him talking with his boss and said I couldn't have custody; she told him, I don't know what you're going to do but it'd better be fast. He has scared my mother into fighting me for custody. My son knows only part of what happened, but I was told I should just give them up because I cannot win, it's already been decided when he spoke to the Judge. I'm not financially well off, I don't know where to turn. I'm dedicated to my kids and this tears my heart out. Can anyone help me?

I Luv all your answers, But we also have a child together, I am going with him just to support him, but you have to remember, his sons have not bother with him or their stepsister for 16 yrs.now all of a sudden they want him to be there for them,I do understand they had kids together, just like i did with my 1st, They didn't need him all this time, now they do?I have also been there for those 2 boys I bought them 3 cars , and so on, I jus feel like a knife been threw me and twisted inside me, I don't know why this is bothering me so much.
