Like, sometimes i feel it isnt necessary to look all nice but i also feel it may have a lil disadvantage because u may meet Mr. gorgeous.

Well, one of the persons answering put it pretty good about trolling for a date/boyfriend at a family dinner...just remember the facts about 1st cousins.
If you're going to a family dinner, you don't need to dress like you're going to a 5-star restaurant, but you should be dressed at least like you would be going to church. Have respect for the other people at the table...for the event, and for yourself.

No it isnt always necessary to look nice. but.. Everytime I seem to slack off, Its seems to never fail that I run into someone I know, and I am embarrassed. So to be on the safe side, atleast look nice enough so that you wont feel dumb seeing someone you may know.

If you are invited to a family dinner it would only be polite to look half decent while you're there. Would you go to a friends dinner looking like you just crawled out of bed?

You are spending time with your family - not trying to scope out a date! Dress comfortable and casually - be yourself - that's what your family want's to see from you!

if it's a family dinner- unless you plan on dating your cousin i don't think you will be meeting him there.
if you're looking for mr right - then never leave the house without making yourself up - cause he could be right outside your door.

It is never necessary to wear makeup. Ladies -- here's a news flash: MEN DO NOT LIKE MAKE-UP!!!!!! We want to see the real you -- not something that came out of a bottle! Be natural! (the same goes for breast implants... we like natural!)
