First of all talk to your husband regarding this? This is very crucial as it is going to help u to know that what is that going wrong between u both. And then u can make your Mother in Law sit beside u and make her feel that her son will remain her son and no one can change that relationship just becoz u got married to him. U try to explain her that her love and ur love for him is totally different. And in the same manner his love for u and ur mom is also different.
Let her know that she is not going to spend the whole life with him. There should be some1 who would look after him and be his moral support through out his life. She will die one day then who will be his caring partner then? Try to give her same similar points.

Do u want an enemy for life? Then let ur spineless husband tell her that she is being too close for comfort. Pls, Pls don't u go there or u'll be the miserable one for as long as ur relationship last or she lives and it'll be no one's fault but ur own. So just hush and talk to ur hubby or move far away enough that she is only a phone call away.

Well tell her in no uncertain terms in whichever language she understands best. If that does not work get hubby to flirt physically with you in front of her get bolder and bolder…soon she will learn to leave you guys alone. If hubby is a mouse you become the cat.

Just be nice to her and when she is in a good mood, tell her that you have certain plans for your hubby and can she please excuse two of you for two hours every day. Slowly, the time can be increased. But do it slowly and gently to really make a difference for lifetime.

be nice to her and give examples of other couples how they spend time together... ask her how she used to spend time with your pa-in law, what they used to do.. speak to ur hubby, dont be too frank, not worth it.. make up stuff, that u have to go here, there with ur hubby, she'll get the hint.. good luck!

Straight out as you have done on here. Say, you appreciate her being around for you, but you and your husband need time on your own and perhaps she could visit once a week.

Talk it over with your husband. Let him know how you feel. Let him tell his mother and hopefully he will consider your feelings and have the balls to do so.

I don't think you should, especially if she and her son are close. Work with what you know, talk to your husband in a non conflict way.
