my husband and daughter argue constantly because my husband assume their behaving badly and accusses them of the behavior before he ask enough question to verify his assumptions. If i try and give an explantion in their defence then he gets mad at me. If I do not get involved then he's angry that I di no say anything. My oldest daughter does not talk to her father at all and our youngset daughter is distance from him. Plus, he get hurt feeling because they do not share their lives with him. He does not particpate in family activites. If he buys them something and they do not respond to a situation the way he wants them to, then he gets angry and threatens to take it from them or do not speak to them for days. He works six days out of the week. during those times our youngest daughter, will freely come out of her room and talk to me . when they try and explain themselves he tell them what they did and how they feel, instead of hearing them out and accepting their feeling.

I was having a conversation with my dad earlier, we were talking about my little brother, I was trying to stick up for him because everyone seems to be laying into him for getting into a bit of trouble at school.

He's only 14 & having a hard time at home & at school lately & I thought my dad should give him a little bit of a break & stop having a go because he's only 14 & his hormones are probably all over the place.

ANYWAY!......My dad says I'm always on the offensive & have an answer for everything like I'm being attacked all the time. I asked him what he meant & he just said I always have to defend everything or have an answer in particular.

I see what he means but why do I do that? For what reason? Why am I on the offensive all the time? I don't understand & didn't realise that I did it! Can anyone help me understand?

my mom and dad wont let me go to a party because my room wasnt cleaned by 4. my sister was also invited to the same party but my mom didnt give her a specific time to clean her room and she didnt finish it. but she can still go to the party. now they are telling me that if i dont get my act together and stop being so mad all the time, i wont get any christmas presents. i am not one of those people that can just drop something. i have to keep going with it until i think i win, which i never do, and then that gets me in more trouble. how do i keep my anger inside myself when something like that happens so that i dont get in trouble?

My father is mad at my mom's brother's family. (Basically my dad is mad at my uncle) This started when i was about 5, and they never made contant or resolved the issue. I think its because of a money related issue or something with my cousin and me...not even sure myself because they never want to tell me. But i love my cousins soo much and i hate that we're kinda lying to my dad by still talking to them. We have been thinking that we should resolve this problem soon, why stay angry for 20 years? So i am wondering, how could this problem be fixed? Or should we leave this problem alone?

Also, my dad has a bad temper sometimes, and i am a little worried about that.

A father was passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.
Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addersed to ''dad''.With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.Dear Dad,

So the story is, awhile ago my mother was supposed to receive a promotion that as her boss has told her. So she had a meeting the last time and she said it went good.
Then today she calls me and tells me she didn't receive, I asked her why. And she said because they told her "She wans't ready". Then she goes on about it must be because she's Asian and not Caucasian blah blah.. and how everyone that has been promoted above her is Caucasian- which I cannot prove or know anything about.

So I ask her there must have been more to it then just them saying she wasn't ready, and she just went on about how they were prejudice towards her just because she's Asian.

Now I do know, she's work very hard there and only had 3 sick days, usually from 4 to 12 a.m.

Lastly, I ask you... do you think it was really a prejudice move or just an honest answer based on her job/related matters.

Thanks. :)

I'm inclined to say morning TV newsreporter. You have to get up at all hours. You have to constantly cover stories. You get home, you're too tired for anything.

Would you cave in and see her everytime, or would you put your foot down and insist that they take some initiative to sober up and come visit the rest of the family.
