It really depends on why you would be giving up your child. I was a foster child but I did not qualify for any financial aid, help with schooling or help with finding a place to live after I turned 18 because I was not a blood relative to my foster parents. Some foster children are eligible to recieve financial aid through college, help paying for somewhere to live after they turn 18, money for groceries, money for work uniforms, insurance benefits and so on and so on. I would speak to a social worker before you make any decisions and be sure of what kind of benefits your child would recieve throughout childhood and after adulthood.

No, it's not true - unless your put your child into foster care - in which case your parents would have to become an approved foster care home, and if at any time the social worker thought they were unfit, she could take the child away complete!!
If you just give them custody, they don't get anything that any custodial parent such as your self would get.

The only way your child would get money is if your parents don't have enough money to take care of it. The state isn't gonna pay for your education just like that or the kid's college. Are you that much of a loser, that you can't take care of your own kid?!? Next time keep your legs closed! If you need Welfare assistance, go to them and tell them your situation. Why lay on your parents the mistake you made of having a kid you can't take care of?!? That isn't fair to them. I hope in the future you make better choices for yourself. Sorry for being harsh but I am sick of girls like you doing that to their parents. You've made your bed now lie in it. Take care. Good luck!

I would be very surprised if the state payed for college ,talk to a social worker our feelings need to be worked through on this and she would be able to help you with finding out about the legals too it. The main things for a child to be growing up with are love, safeness and their food and necessities provided.

If you're not able to take care of your child properly, you should give him/her to your parents...you dont' want the state finding out you can't take care of your child

don't know about the college but if for a minute you feel you can't take care of the baby why give it to someone who raised such an irresponsible child .
