she has never liked me since my husband and I have been together. Its been 15 years since I have put up with her ****.....too many stories to share,, but she is just evil with me. I have finally decided to not welcome her to my home anymore, and not see her, or be around her. Now,, she is making me look like the evil one AGAIN. I say again, because I keep trying to make it work with her for my husbands sake,, and our children. My children are another story with her as well,,,,,,she ACTS likes she cares about them,, when she really doesnt. Her and I just dont click,,,, I think she cant stand me, cause I dont let her bully me around......what to do?????

Hi there.
Me, my dad and sister live together.
I am 12, my sister is 20..
Me and my sister never really get on, as she says that i don't help around the house. Ok, i admit i dont help around the house, but we're all CONSTANTLY MISERABLE ALL THE TIME.. my sister has a boyfriend, he doesnt have much of a personality, infact i find him a little boring. Me, im ALWAYS BORED, in the house, ALWAYS ON THE COMPUTER, a very lazy person I am... but i don't seem to find it very easy not to be. My dad, he tries to be happy (even though we all have our miserable moments sometimes.)
# Can you please give me some advice how to brighten up the family, permanently, please?? It's beginning to become a little depressing! Please help me?

Okay, I've susspected that my friend Jason has been abused for awhile now.

So I went to his house unnanounced. I saw drugs on the table, I saw him get punched by a closed fist with his father's own hand, right in front of me. (He was already hurt, and limping.)

So I did what any person would do: I went downtown and reported it to the police.

They told me I needed to come back with Jason and have him file a report.

So I did.

And then they told us that we were liars (after hearing our story.) I was appaled! Jason told about several times he was hit or punched for no reason - plus I told about the abuse.

They sent letters to both our parents. I had told my parents, but they didn't seem to care.

What should I do now? I CAN'T let Jason go back to his house - his dad'll hurt him very badly. And I can't move out -- I'm only 17.

Help!

I am 16. My 2 sisters are 14 and 13. They come to me everyday to talk about their problems and expect me to solve them. The problems are about school, friends, home, peer pressure, etc. I never have the answers to their problems because I truely don't know how to help them. They yell at me for being "stupid and immature" and say "I don't know why you are the older sister and you can never solve my problems. I know a lot of people with older sisters that are much stronger and smarter than you." They tell my parents and my parents agree that I am stupid and immature. Two things I don't understand is 1. Why don't my sisters ask the parents for help instead especially if they admit that I am stupid? 2. Why don't my parents help them? They only say I am stupid and don't even try to help or ask them to tell them their problems. They are parents and act like they don't care.
It is unfair that I have to do the parents job while the parents don't have to. I am NOT the parent. Do you understand

If you could ask for one thing regardless of the cost for Christmas what would it be and why?

I think I would ask that my family stays safe and healthy for another year. In the town I live in we just had a home explode because of a gas leak. Two people were killed and another two were injured badly. The explosion also caused the house next door to burn down. Everyone keep these people in your prayers and remember how lucky we are to be alive!

I live in Canada and sent my 14-year-old to live with his father in the US almost 2 years ago. It was agreed I would be allowed to call my child on weekends, but for several months now, I have been refused contact by his step-mom. In the beginning, he was "not at home" then during the summer, I was told he would be spending the whole summer at his grandmother's (but he wasn't there most of the summer, and I didn't know this) now she's saying that she will not allow contact, and anything I have to say, I should let her give him the message. How do I go about legally enforcing contact with my son even though I reside in Canada?

I have a stepson living w/us full-time. He gets into trouble quite often and anytime he gets in trouble he blaims everyone else. He never shows any remorse for his actions. His father tends to be mad initially, calm down & then want to lesson the discipline. We definately have different parenting styles, which causes major problems in our relationship. I can't get him to see that I may have a clue cuz my kids rarely get into any trouble. His son tends to be defiant and disrespectful when approached about being in trouble, rather than feeling remorse for his actions. The most recent trouble was his being on school grounds after hrs., refusing to leave when told by a teacher (denies that of course) then when the principal reviewed the tape he was caught "mooning" a girl. What can we do to get together w/ our parenting? Please don't say counseling, we've done that for yrs. and it's been useless. p.s. his mother is a jail bird, is he heading there too by never believing he is wrong?

My son's father and I are fighting over our 8 year old son. In Feb. he dissappeared with him, until July when I found out where he was. I called the cops and got my child back. I told his father, I would be willing to file for joint custody so there wouldn't be a fight in court. Before it could get that far, he told me he was going to fight for full custody. I had my number changed so he could'nt contact me. My number is unlisted. He called me yesterday. My mom talks to him still, but she says she didn't give him the number. She swore on her fathers grave she didn't. He says he got it online, but I tried and couldn't find it anywhere. Should I believe my mother or should I break off contact with her too? Should I call him? He wants to work out a custody agreement out of court.

i have recently moved from london to leeds. but am thinking of moving back to london again. what should i do?
london´s big advantages- office/work much better, much more happening place & life is better there- I am more satisfied there.
however, it´s very costly to live there.
leeds´ big advantages- much better (& cheaper) house to stay & my net income (income-expenses) is much much higher. i love my house in leeds but hated my flat in London.
However, Leeds is more boring & I don´t like the people here too much. My office in London & the people there are much better.
My wife is coming fom India to live with me next month (am getting married next month) & she is indifferent to the 2. which is also a better place to live for a fresh married couple- london or leeds?
people from usa - compare it like new york to portland.
thx for ur help.

It was brought to my attention by a co-worker that my sister-in-law, who works in our office, is having an affair with one of the tenants of our building. I am having a difficult time being civil to her. I will not tell my brother, it would devastate him. They have been married for 10 years and have two children. Should I let my sister-in-law know that I know, or should I just let it drop?

My mother is having Thanksgiving at her house. I told her let me know what she wants me to bring and have called her as she never gave me an answer. She doesn't answer her phone or return my calls. She's always telling me, "You should do this, you should do that, if I were you I would do this and that" My brother belittles me about my personal life, I told him to stop but he continues to do this. I am divorced from an abusive ex and my brother thinks I should get back together with him. I don't hear from my other siblings, we're not close at all. I feel like staying home, turning off my phone and just be by myself. I'm tired, I'm tired of everything and just want to move away sometimes.
What would you do? How would you feel?
