my parents are seperated now and for thnks giving i was just gonna go w/ whoever my bro was gonna go w/ and i was actually thinking bout going w/ my dad because my friedns will be at where he's going but not where my mom is but i hate doing stuff when ppl try to force u to! he's like no ur coming w/ me u don't have a choice. and not only tht but he calls my mom 24/7 asks her where she is and what she's doing AND I SAID THEY'RE SEPERATED remember. even my mom said how she hates it when he calls (she wo't stand up for herself i'm surprised she moved away from him). and he would hardly let me have any freedom when we lived w/ him and would even in his house call us like he still does now. i hate him i really do he's been a jackass all my life to me (he used to slap me when i was 6 mtnhs) and would just constantly scare the **** out of me yelling over the house every single day. (you should see this guy when he's mad it's like he's gonna murder sum1) i don't wanna be under his rule 4ever

My sister-in-law was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. She said her primary care doctor told her she had cancer in her neck and all over her chest. I thought she had taken the story and blown it up. Now I don't think so. The situation looks so grim and I'm sad and feel so guilty for the things I thought. She has never been a very happy person and alway so stressed. Her daughter just had a baby girl today. I know how much she wanted to be there, but she is still in the hospital. They did a lung biopsy this morning. The cancer is in her lymph nodes, but it's not lymphoma and they are tryng to find out where it start from. It sounds like to me that it's not anything that they can cure or that will be in remission for long. I'm I wrong?

My daughter lied to me about where she was Saturday night. I found out yesterday that she was out til 2 in the morning with a 28 year old man. She is 18. I do not care you she dates on the outside for her to see but on the inside a man with 3 children has no business with a 18 year old. I told her all i asked ofr her was that if she was out pass 12:00 to call and let me know who she is with and where she is. Today my mother came to see me at work and informed me that she knew where she was. I got so angry that i had been lied to again and on top of that it was my 64 year old mother. The more i talked the louder i got and the madder i got and i walked away because i Love her and i was afraid i would say something that would hurt her feelings. I have never done it but i am so mad that she did this. I sat at my house saturday night worried to death about where my daughter was. these days you never know what could happen. I worry about her coming in that time of morning anyway.

So thanksgiving is coming back around and my wife is wanting me to go spend 3 days with her at her parents house. Problem is though, her family makes it clear (Other than her mother) that they don't care for me at all. Truth be known, I feel the same way.

What should I do here folks, I really don't want to be around people who make clear they don't care for me.

My cousin moved to Bombay, India some years ago to fill the void left when my mother's grandmother died. Basically, she was a widow and needed a man to take over the estate. Well, while he was there he met a Zoroastrian maiden in her virginity and took her hand in marriage. After my great-grandmother died, his wife convinced him to put her in a Dokhmas (Tower of Silence). I found out from my husband that this looked like a open air medieval tower that the body was placed in and the vultures and elements taking away the flesh from the bones :( Icky!! Well, afterwards my cousin sold his estate and moved to Michigan with his wife and adorable children. Now they are coming up for Thanksgiving dinner and my mother still hasn't gotten over this. I mean it hurts me too, but I don't like to hold grudges :( I think his wife is also reading the Avesta to her children which mom doesn't like either. What can I do to help my mom be cordial to her?

Im 21, andmoved in with my mom, after living away at college. She was totally nice about it when she made the offer, saying that i was more then welcome to move back in while i was in nursing school so i would only have to focu on shocll and not worry about work. But lately she insists on knowing where im at at all times, she wants to know who im going out with where i went and how long i stayed there. She also wants to know the names of guys i go out with. Help, this is getting ridiculous. I dont want to hurt her feelings but i NEED my privacy!

She makes me feel bad when I ask for something (which I haven't done since I was 6).She gets emotional if I say something she doesn't like.For example,we'll be joking one minute,but the instant I say something,it's not a joke anymore.And I think she tries to get me to pity her, so I don't ask for anything.

Hey, I'm not a perfect daugher.I make mistakes,I get a C every once and a while,but I think of myself as a good child.How can I talk to her about or get her to stop acting like she needs to be pitied.I mean, I hate to sound selfish,but I AM the daughter.Sometimes it's like...she expects me to put my life on hold for hers.

Ok, I am Jewish, my husband is Italian, hence my Italian mother in law, who thinks the world revolves around HER! she doesnt care that our 5 month old has to eat, sleep, etc...she comes over at STUPID times...i have dicussed this with my husband, he gets NO WHERE bec of the GUILT,,,she actually called me and YELLED at me...i dont want to have a fight with my husband

My brother and I spent a lot of time with her and my grandpa when we were young, and we were close with them in our teen years, as well. My grandma was almost like a seregant mom. I cannot concentrate on anything, and I find myself being very negative and angry a lot. She was in a lot of pain, so I am glad she is not in pain anymore. And I should be celebrating her life. But I feel so empty and sad!

I need some help coping with her death! How did you cope with the death of a loved one? Did you do something that helped?

ok this is a long sorted story but here's the short version
when i was 15 i found out that my dad had molested my sisters.
that not being worse enough my mom knew and never did anything about it they are still together to this day.well they where not suportive parents to me and my sisters either like saying "you can't go to college,you stupid asses,I wish i had 4 sons instead of 4 sluts for daughters (beleive me we were not sluts) so a few months ago i saw them and they treated me like crap again then they are complaining why i don't let them see my kids . my point is i could never let my kids go to their house knowing that my dad is capable of doing anything to either of them.but now my mom is in complete denile about any of the abuse she and my dad afficted on us do you think i'm doing the right thing about keeping my kids away from my parents? and when should i tell them(my kids) about their grandfather? my kids are 8 and 12

i am an adoptee and everyone think that i NEED to heal by reunion. unfortunately, i was hunted down by my bmom and it ended in an ugly matter and i cut all ties with her.

since then, i've been on sites where people think reunion who feel it is their right . .adoptees feel they have a right to know (with a disregard for the bparents who do not want reunion); if the bparent says NO, then the adoptee contacts the legitimate children and blows the bparents secret out of the water and they are not always greeted well . ..

and bparents feel they have a right to know the decision they made was 'correct' . .what makes it correct? if the relinquished child turned out the way they wanted? works in an office instead of a factory? and if it 'wasn't' right, then what are you going to do about it?

weren't the records sealed? how do these 'search angels' access databases/information with your private info? should court records remain sealed?

My brother has tormented me for as long as I can remember. I'm the youngest and Mom says I got more attention. She told me as we were discusing the situation, "He is gelous of me." He is not all there to say the least. he is a very demented person and drinks robotussin also alcoholic. I've worked my *** off sense I was sixteen. I have had drug problems but I'm a product of my invironment. Other than those small reasons, I've never done anything to him. He hates me for reasons made up in his head. To this day not a day goes by without having to listen to his stupidity. He lives with mom n pop and complains about her cooking along with other things a normal person would be greatful for. I can't stand him. He is in there now bitching...

My parents are super strict like they want me to have the varsity football captain and such but my boyfriend is way less than perfect. They know it and hate it. He has a really bad past but has changed and they don't see that they just see his past. It's catching up to him and he can't get out of the way. He's been kicked out of school and the only time i see him during the week is when we're in school other than that i might be allowed to go out with him on the weekends but it's not fair. My parents will probably blow up on me if i actually say he got kicked out or whatever. What should i do?

I'm trying not to be, but it's so hard. I have two little cousins and they are four. My grandparents love them to DEATH and they are the centar of EVERYTHING. I was never the main "thing" but they used to talk about me some before lilah and lauren came. I'm not trying to act jealous but I feel SO left out all the time. My grandparents are thinkin' about movin' to where they live so they can be closer to lilah and lauren and they won't include me. Me and my grandmaw have a bond, a very BIG and strong bond but when Lilah and Lauren are around she lets me hit me, bite me, pinch me, scream at me, and everything else, also pulling my hair!
Our bond is fading away and since I have no mom and my dad is not the "best" she is the only thing I have. I've tried talking to her but she just says I'm jealous of them and fuses at me!
I don't know what else to do, I feel so left out and she never pays attention to me anymore. It's like she don't even care about me, and I don't exist.
Help!!!!!!!!!
