I want my own cell phone but my dad wont give me it unless i give him a good *** reason.?

Just tell your father that you would like one because you feel like you can except more responsibility and that you would be willing to except ALL aspects of the phone! and If you get the phone don't be a pain about the way the pohone looks or the amounts of minutes he gives you!

Well... do YOU have a good reason? Do you like to stay out late - but your Dad wants to keep tabs on you? Tell him its a good way to get a hold of you in case of emergencies. Also a good way to get a hold of him if there's an emergency. Ask for a pre-paid phone so you avoid any overages - Also - if you get an allowance tell him you'll chip in for the cost. He'll appreciate it if you show some responsibility... cause cellphone use can be insanely expensive.

Smile at him in a damsel in distress way and say, daddy, sometimes i need to contact you and i dont have any change in an emergency to phone you, or mum, even if i have to stay behind at school, or college.

Say there are times when you need a phone to phone home. However, if you are a young person, i dont think that it is reasonable to have a mobile. Showing off is one thing but getting mugged these days is another.

I think your father is looking out for your best interest and this should be considered, after all, a phones not everything.

try to console yourself with thinking about the things you do havem that others dont have and this may make you feel better.

This is an excellent way for you to show your father that you are responsible. Tell your father to get you a pre-paid phone. Tell him that he only has to charge the minutes once a month (about $25). Use the phone and stay under your minutes so the phone lasts for the whole month. Tell him he'll be able to get a hold of you at anytime and know exactly where you are. If you can show your responsibility with this, he may start allowing more privileges.

My daddy wont GIVE me a cell phone... I hope you dont find a good reason because there is not one unless it is one that you can only call 911 and ur parents with. Better yet honey get a job and ruin your credit by running up a huge phone bill. You can also get a job or save up an allowance and get a prepaid one. Personally when my child starts to ask for one (she is 11) I am not giving it to her.

If you have a car accident, you will able to call an ambulance or him. If you are late coming in from curfew, you can at least call you dad and tell him you aren't dead. Just a couple reasons.
