Ive been through this before and found that visiting your grandmother and finding out if she enjoys your company will be the best gift you can give her. Remember sometime in everyones life we will experience loneliness, so it is up to us to keep the loneliness away from others. Also, believe me you will be happy you spent the extra time with her.

Does she like roses? (most grandmothers' do) Mabe get her a dozen fresh roses in a pretty vase, with some baby's breath, or complimentary other filler. Even though they don't last forever, the memories will, and that is generally something most people don't get to splurge for themselves. Good luck to you!

They have cushions filled with silicon gel that can be place under sore area, if she is having a problem with these. Some times you get a sore area on the elbows, ears, back of the head. I have seen these work quite nicely.

Bed Bath and Beyond has these backrests with arms on them...like a pillow with arms so you can sit up in bed and watch tv. I think they are under $30.

An inspirational book would lift her spirits. A DVD player with DVD's would be a great idea.

Yeah, get her a scrapbook with an old picture and a new picture of each person in your family. Have each person write a personal note.
