Suggest there are a lot of ways and things to make a loving relationship better. Tell him, his approach to sex is one and you also would like to try a more romantic approach for awhile. Tell him variety is the spice of life....not as in other partners in your own relationship. Compromise in any relationship is necessary who ever you are. It shouldn't be a problem if he loves you.

Lead by example. In other words, take control and show your partner how to make love and show him how you want to be made love to. I was/am in a similar situation. If talking it out doesn't work, show your partner what you want and how you want it to be done. He will have no choice but to follow your lead.

Take control! Set the stage for romance by creating and environment for seduction. Soft music, candlelight, teasing love play----he'll love it and want to do it again, I assure you. The anticipation is as good as the outcome!

Romance your partner without the sex first, and then lead into it. Take control and don't let them rush things, keep it slow and tender and passionate. :)

Tell them... my boyfriend likes to get right at it. But I asked him one night if we could just slow things down a bit, and he did.
