If you want peace and quiet, combined with a cosmo environment, your best bet is to move to the South Coast - around the smaller 'towns' such as Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Crawley or Horsham. You have the peace, less crime, good schools, yet you are still close to the city for those all important shopping trips. It is beautiful. I used to live in London - once you live down on the coast (not forgetting the kids enjoying themselves especially in the summer), you never look back!

Hi,

If you are looking to live in London, you should really consider West London, in particular Chiswick, Turnham Green, Kew Gardens and Notting hill Gate. I live in North London, and there are parts that are okay, but you have so much of the overspill from the not so nice parts going into others, that I wouldn't advice you to consider it. Having said that these areas in North/Northwest London are great! Crouch End is nice, Highgate is gorgeous, as is West Hampstead, and Primrose Hill. South West, areas such as Chelsea, Kensington, Knightsbridge. These areas a really nice, and certainly come with a healthy price tag attached. I would say that if you can afford to, I would defiantly try for these areas, if not, there are other nice areas that aren't quite as expensive.

Hope this helps x

I used to live in Epsom and don't think you'll find that same village feel in central London. I did live in Fulham for a year or so and found it to be a very comfortable area. Good transport links as well as great local amenities. You can even do a bit of celebrity spotting!

there are many areas in london suitable for families, but depends on your budget and what you are looking for

in my opinion areas in romford have good spacious houses, and some have good links / schools

within london you should decide if you want to be in east / west / north or south

i wouldnt recommend west as congestion charge is going there. east has got many different asian communities and north has a majority of white community. some areas like hackney have a majority of black community. whereas some areas are a complete mixture.

dont misunderstand, this is not a racist comment, but some poeple prefer to stay in around certain race and in particular environment.

good luck and i would recommend a visit to an estate agent

If money is not really a problem then Kew, Richmond or Chiswick are all great areas, Chiswick, especially around turnham green has great transport links and has a nice village feel to the place (plus good shops).

It relies upon what your desires are somewhat. once you're seeking to be good on the city then someplace in the city area of Southend might probably be a good theory, inspite of the undeniable fact that i might stay away from Southchurch (southend east), and Shoebury altogether. everywhere has it rather is sweet and undesirable areas inspite of the undeniable fact that, so as that they could be nicely worth finding out besides. The nicest places to stay in those areas are probably Leigh on sea or Thorpe bay, different than those additionally are the dearer many times. i might propose observing somewhat some the cities close by, which comprise Rayleigh, Hockley or Rochford. All 3 are smaller length with their own communities, inspite of the undeniable fact that they are tied to Southend via Bus and Rail hyperlinks and Southend city centre is stroll in a position from all of those places. because of the fact they're outdoors of the city area of Southend they're additionally somewhat extra ethereal; a lot of nation-state. It relies upon on what your desires are somewhat. in my view i might decide to stay in Rayleigh to Southend (suited), i've got spent my existence around that ordinary area and it rather is what appeals to me.
