My dad gets mad at me a lot. One day he grabbed my arm & squeezed it really tight, jerked me across the room, & screamed in my ear. I don't want to sound like a baby, but i'm scared, this kind of stuff happends a lot! Like this one day, my sister & I were arguing & my dad took off his belt & told us if we didn't shut up he would use it. And one time my brother gave my sister the finger, my dad told him to put his hand down or he would break his fingers. I told my mom & she said "Now honey, your father is just trying to make you kids act right, he would NEVER actually do anything." & i don't know why, but i'm still scared! Is this abuse?

if all you do is fall in love, break up, then fall in love again, then break up again, then fall in love AGAIN, then you relly want this so you get married and have kids, and you get mad, then a divorce, then you don't have anything to do, then yur kids come over at the weekends just to complain how their mom got a new bf, and they want you to come home, then, you grow old, then ur kids get married and others start to judge you on how ur a big mistake and then all your ever doing is just going through this cycle of misery?

My 11 year old daughter has everything a child could want, She has 2 dads and 2 moms very much loved. Has no chores to do as I do them while she is in school.So she can come straight home and do her homework. She gets real snotty and short with me and her step dad. Will not with her real dad.I don't understand this at all. I give her the best life I can offer her and a better life than I ever had when I was a child.She has a pc in her room a playstation 2 a colored t.v. I mean everything. But how can I help her not to get snotty with me or my husband and appreciate things we give her. I know she loves us but I want her to show and let her know it is o.. to show it. I don't always want to see or deal with her anger.

I am going to meet my so called soon to be mother-in-law, and father-in-law for the very first time and the truth is, i am feeling pretty nervous about everything, since my boyfriend and i come from a very different backgroungs ( i'm Asian & he's italian).....but thanks God we're all going to his niece's birthday party on this day, so i hope the focuses won't be entirely on me since i'll be the only Asian sitting at the table with a whole bunch of Italians, which make me even more nervous. I wouldn't know what to do or what to say to his parents and they are very very italian.....A nice suggestion or advice will be very appreciated, Thanxs Peace out.

My parents seem to not like what im trying to do. Whenever I try to do something, its always either wrong or not up to their standards. I keep up in my schoolwork,, and sometimes I forget to do my chores, which I then make up the next day. So, I asked them today to pick me up at my friends house, because we were finishing up a project today for European History tomorrow. So, I told my parents what time they were supposed to pick me up, and we were done at said time. When I went out, they started yelling at me and apparently everything ive ever done wrong in the world, which normally takes hours. Then they said I wasn't around to go out for a week, and they yelled at me for some reason. Also, when I try to tell them stuff like "I'm not perfect, even though you think I am" and things like that, they deny it and they say they never do that and I can't get them to understand. What can I do about it? I almost cried when I got home tonight after what they said to me, so what can I do?

She left 3 times to be with him. Now she's homeless, drunk, and stupid. She called to say she'd kill me if I took him(my grandson) away. Is there anyone besides Welfare associates that can help me get custody? He is in danger if he goes back. I want him to stay with me and be safe and happy. Does anyone have a friend with legal advice that won't cost me a million dollars? okay, i`m sure you all know there`s that one group of girls, who are popular, that are complete b****** && they got all the boys, and they pretty much are so full of themselves. well basically one of the girls were my EX-BESTFRIEND.. but now that she`s popular she`s getting all this backup && i have no one =( i don`t want to look scared or intimidated but i am! i`m so scared... they`re REALLYY mean girls and they can spread the worst rumors in less than a minute! they just know sooo many people who can jump me, hate me, talk about me, beat me, etc. fkdsjfjsfs. i wanna quit MIDDLE SCHOOL :( all this drama is too much for me to take...

Im OK tonight, my kids are wrestling their daddy on the floor tonight and its pretty funny to watch. For me for exciting, I had to take my 6 month old to the hospital today cause she fell off of our bed!! Yeah, now I feel like a horrible mom!!! But she is OK, just has a nasty bruse!!! Hopefully your day is better

should i tell my mom that i don't wanna live with my realtive because he is a perverted pedophile who makes friends with my lady friends because he is sick?

I've been married 7 years. Every Thanksgiving its the same thing. My family stuff is at 12pm and always has been. Every year, we have rushed through my family stuff to go across town to his grandma's. It never fails -my husband's sister pitches a fit (she is 20) to have the family there at a certain time. The past 3 or 4 years, when we get there, no one is even boiling water. My husband, me and our kids are the only ones there. His sister, who made all these plans isn't even there. We make an effort to get there at the time they insist we get there, and its like they don't even remember we have plans! Last year I was asked the day before to cook the dressing. Its crappy that my sister in law doesn't even go help her grandma get the food going. So is it bitchy to send an email to everyone saying that we aren't rushing through my family stuff this year? I also said AGAIN that if I need to cook something, let me know early. So, what to do now?

I would like some completely hillarious stories, and lots of 'em!!!!!! I think the funniest and most embarasing thing was when we were shopping for a seafood dinner and bought a lobster. We were looking for creamy alfredo sauce and my three yr. old yells out "MY MOMMY GOTS CRABS AND SHE NEEDS SOME CREAM!"
Nobody knew he was talking about lobsters. I was sooooo embarest!!!

I'm a little scared of telling them about it because I don't know what they'll think. They're wondering why I draw X's on my hands, and I'm just really nervous about telling them. I've been StraightEdge since Sept. 21st... and I really want them to know, but I don't know how to say it. How can I without blowing it out of proportion or making it seem too small?

My mother married my father when she was 17 and gave birth to me, she never really loved me, only my father did. But my father died when I was 4, ever since then all my mother has done was scold me and starve me. I have a disease that makes me a little more fat than girls my age, and she's trying to make me look like a model like she does. when I can't she won't listen to me and she says I'm just lazy and a good for nothing weight on her shoulders! My 6-year old brother is jealous. Jealous of my baby brother getting all the tension and to get him back he slaps, punch, and sit on him!!! Sometimes, he even tries to slam my baby brothers head on the wall (TRIED BUT WE ALWAY GOT HIM ON THOSE TIMES). My 6-year brother still gets tension but for some reason he wants most of it...WHY? we do everything together go out to the movie hangout laugh with friends and I hangout with her friends we are almost inseparable. Whenever I needed her she were always be there for me. I know this might sound crazy but sometimes she would dress me that my dad was around and that doesn't bother her although you think it would. She does more with me and does more than my parents will do. the other night I was at her apartment like a normally do every once in a while spending the night there and she asked me what you want to go swimming together at first I was shot I didn't know what to say so I said yes. So she rented out the poor area for night and I was never is because I didn't have my swimsuit with me and she said don't worry about it you can just warming your underwear. So we went down their she close on the doors and she was in her bikini which she never wear around me and we went swimming. After a while she turned to me she took everything off. What should Ido next time?

I'd appreciate any input on this serious situation.

My sister, together with her live-in bf of many years, runs a small landscaping company. The workhorse of this operation is a beautiful Dodge Ram truck, which is in her name only.

The bf has a LONG record of doing stupid and dangerous things. Last night, my sister asked him to go to the store. He allowed his 17-year old son to drive him, and he insisted on taking the Ram (other vehicles were available).

On the way home, contrary to explicit instructions, the bf allowed the son to make a side trip up into the country. In the process, the son rolled the Dodge. The Dodge is now totaled.

She loved her truck. When the bf & son explained what had happened, she began to cry, and scream at them, calling them idiots. The son smart-mouthed her, using vulgar language, and my sister slapped him.

The bf, fearful, took the son and dashed off in another vehicle, leaving my sister to deal with police & insurance.

What should she do?

it all started with my boyfriend from flordia. She said that my actions(which was spending the night at my BFFS house and sharing a sleeping bag with him; nothing happened." My mom then said that i wasn't being punished enough... so she didn't let me go to homecoming. What she had done was pop a whole bunch of depression pills and pain pills. 150 i was told. Then she had to go to ICU so she wouldn't digest it. When she did this she never told me, and when she was in the hospital, she led me to belive it was for stomache proplems. When she got home(i was living w/ Gram) she blamed the whole thing on me and said i argued and this summer was so stressful with my BF. Now i'm living with my aunt, and my mom wants me to come home, but i don't want to... that basically the story in short... i can e-mail you if you want a very discriptive version.. My kid's father died and I remarried. My 2nd husband was abusive to my kids, he called them names, hit them, destroyed their things, etc. I don't believe in divorce and I stay with him. Now that my kids are grown, they refuse to have anything to do with me and him. How can I make my kids understand divorce is wrong and make them want to see him and me?
