Sounds like these two need to get separated from each other for awhile and see how things go. It is definitely not good to slap and punch someone, it doesn't matter if he is a brother or who he is.
What if you turned it around and started slapping and punching the other person. How would he feel if he was in the other persons shoes?
I suggest trying that and maybe he will get some common sense slapped into him. Good Luck, your going to need it, honey.

Try and talk to him, tell him he should not hurt his brother, that although he is a baby, he has feelings too. What you need to do is ask him, if he will help with the baby? tell him that you need him to help him to grow up big and strong like him. Say we need you, to help.would you? so start to ask him to bring the diaper, or pass you the lotion. etc. sometimes let him hold the baby. Take a picture of him and his brother, and put it by his bed. Praise him for being a big brother. This works, so please try it!

Try to explain to him that you and your parents still love him just as much as u did before, but that you need to take care of the baby because he needs more time so that he can grow up and become a big boy like your brother is. And that you are going to need his help, make him feel like apart of the attention and taking care of him.

Tell your mom and dad and let them know that you are really worried about your baby brother! Maybe if you play with the 6 year old more, he will understand that he is important too!

You just need to keep an eye on this one he definetly needs disciplined for his actions. It is call sibling rivalry I am still going through it with my kids and they are both toddlers. Everyone needs to make sure that he feels special and important he is acting out because he is jealous he doesnt get all the attention. It will eventually get better.

The whole family needs counseling. Every child needs a certain amount of attention and it sounds like it is lacking. Talk to you parents.
