I love her so so much, and she does me,but there's also been too much craziness between us,and she's been pretty darn mean to me,and won't be humble and sorry about it. I feel so bad for feeling this way. Anyone out there with suggestions?

When I was 3 years old my Dad walked out on my mom, and I haven't seen or heard from him since. I'm now 13 and keep wondering if I should try to find him. I find it hard to talk to my mom about him because I have a Stepdad, so I haven't really mentioned him much. Do you think it would be possible for me to find my Dad on my own? What should I do?

Okay, here I go. My parents trusted me with their place and I had a party there and my parents came home three hours earlyer than expected. BUSTTED! Everyone freezes and looks at them. My dad yells "anyone still here that don't belong here in fourty seconds I'm shooting them in the leg." Everyone (includeing me) ran for the door. My dad caught me by the hair (ouch) and pushed me onto the floor and said don't even get up (double ouch). mean while people where still running through the door, kicking me, and I can't even move with out crying.

Hi, I was wondering what you guys might think. I need advice... Here are some details: I'm married, no children, the house is my dad's, we help him with the mortgage.
So what happened was that there were some repairs that needed to be done inside my house, that's why mom was in my house. She was with the repair man. They were in my living room, they needed to move the dining room table, and accidentally knocked over a glass my husband left on the floor. She called me to tell me about it. I got upset, first because I had no idea she would be in my house, and second because of the glass. My mom frequently goes inside my house. It might be to use the bathroom , or sometimes she just goes in cause she's thirsty, and sometimes she cleans some dirty dishes I might have there, or take out my garbage. I appreciate all these things that she does for me, and I don't want to hurt her feelings. Thus why I hadn't said anything. My husband doesn't like this too much. I am just being stupid?

another family member has commented that i am visiting one of the relatives a lot now that he is older, and that this must be purely because he has money to leave behind. i feel quite annoyed that such a nasty comment has been made. should i challenge the person who said it or let it go? i think the person who said it is feeling lonely + left out

My 14 year old step daughter continues to steal from me, and I am starting to lose my mind! All of us (her father, myself, and her) are going to therapy & family therapy, she is seen regularly by a doctor (for meds), and has a support team at school. We have tried rewarding her when she is doing well, and we follow through with the consequences when she acts out. She steals everything from make-up, to lingerie (I am an XL and she is a S!) to shoes. She lies all the time. She won't do her homework. She calls her father horrible names and has stolen money from him. We have started locking our bedroom door, but then she just roots through other things of mine in the house. She has been through EVERY box and item I own. She has stripped me of all my privacy. She is getting to the point where she won't even apologize anymore. Her father and I are working well together, but it is putting a lot of stress on us, and we don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone give me any help?

I am 16 and well I was smoking with a friend yesterday and my ex-bf's mom caught us (shes also my next door neighbor). Anyways she called my dad and told him. My dad told me a couple weeks ago that if i drink, smoke, or do drugs he is automatically gonna send me back to my moms house. I am just getting settled here and meeting people and I dont wanna go back. When he gets me from school in like 20 minutes we have to have "a talk". What should i tell him?

The reason the step-sister isn't liked by my brother's family is because this is the sister that thought I liked her alcoholic boyfriend, and drove me crazy about it. Actually I think she still does think me and her boyfriend are having some kind of relationship. I never gave her any reason to think I would do that to her. Is my family still wrong for not wanting her around for the holidays?

My half- brother and his family are having Thanksgiving dinner at his grandmother's house. His mother invited me and my family over for dinner, but made it very clear for me not to bring our step-sister to the gathering. She is not well like on that side of the family, they only tolerate her because of me. I know she is going to ask what I will be doing for the holidays. How can I handle this in a tactful way?

It may seem as a daft question, but I am seriously thinking about it! I have lost my job, live away from my family, lost contact with friends as they have moved on, live with my partner who works shifts and over time all the time, and I am generally lonely and skint. Surley there has to be more to life than this!!

Alright, this is a very long story, but I need some help really bad. My younger brother and I are homeschooled and have been for two years. Our mom teaches us, while our dad works. It was wonderful, and fun. Well, all of a sudden, my dad's office was sold and the new people don't want him and let me tell you, he was very high up on the list, CFO/Vice President. So he now works at home. They offered him a job at a different better part of the company, but he doesn't want it. We want him to take it.
Now, I once I say that, I can tell you why. Alright, at the beginning it was okay. But now none of us can stand him. You say the wrong thing to him, and that's it, there's a yelling match. I can't listen to what kind of music I like if he is around. None of us can talk on the phone without him being right there correcting or telling us what to say. We can't watch what we want to without him say everything is bad about it (Ugly Betty, Disney Channel, Maury, GMA..will add more

I've heard people say that women, or men, who stay in abusive relationships "should expect" the abuse because they do nothing to better their situation. I've even heard it said that they "deserve" it because they don't leave the abuser.
I have a family member who puts up with the most horrible emotional (and I suspect physical) abuse. She let me read an email from her ex-b/f, (she tells me ex, but they still communicate) and it sent chills through me. I can't understand why she would tollerate this. She won't change her email address, cell phone number, or even block his messages, and I am at a loss for advice for her.
Any thoughts as to what to tell her as she seems to be so unwilling to put a stop to this.

As soon as she wakes up, it's bitching and harping and groaning and moaning and criticizing . Never a nice thing to say about anyone or anything, it's extremely depressing and irritating. It's my mother, by the way.
