She busted open my eye & eyebrow.I looked like carrie out of the movie. My fiance was working in the mechanic shop next door to her house he owns.He told me to get his brother (she was @work then)he told me to watch the kiddies (newborn &6 yr old). So I did this 2 days in a row. First day she came home from work &was completely cool with it. BUT the next day she came home into the house &FLIPPED she was indirectly talking to me through her husband that he doesnt need whores in the house while she was gone &so on. She came over &ripped the baby outta my hands and dropped her in the crib(literally). So I walked out saying nothing slamming the door. She chased after me to the shop (picture this I am 110pds she is 290pds.) yelling obscense ****. I walked into the shop told my fiance to take me home. I turned around &she threated to beat me up I laughed so hard &said go ahead. Ronnie now was standing in b/w us &she reached over him &got me with her ring. I laughed sat down smoked a cig......

I need good advice only. Ok here goes...
My husband's brother just got into big trouble I'm talking court involved. Anyways he is an adult(18) & still lives with mom, she is at her wits end with him & is ready to kick him out. So big bro wants to help. He would have to transfer schools, & live with us. It scares me because he smokes carelessly, I'm afraid he will burn my home down. Also he steals & drinks, not to mention does or has done drugs. I want to help out family, but I don't want to lose my home, or stress out over this person. He has no job & everyone we find is not good enough for him, he has no car, has been caught drinking & doing drugs. If he moves I want to set rules like no smoking in the house, no friends over unless supervised, 9 o' clock cerfew, & a 30 day altamadem to get a job & start paying rent & utilities. Am I being overly b***** about this? Or should I just tell my husband sorry, but no. He is a big family man & I know this would crush him.

Last time I was there, two months ago for the birth of my granddaughter, I was thrilled seeing her and my daughter, but distressed by my son-in-law's frequent yelling, ranting, fuming. I also worry about the amount he drinks and the effects of his behavior on the new family's emotional and physical safety. It's a dilemma, because I love my grandchild and daughter, but the idea of staying with my son-in-law gives me "fight-or-flight" feelings. When pressed as to why I didn't want to return just yet, I told my daughter my problems with his behavior, and now they are both upset at me...

I just got back from a swim meet and i didnt do so well. On top of that, my dad put me down a lot about how i swim. Also, he connected my swimming inconsistency with my grades at school which arent that bad at all. Im getting a 3.4 GPA right now but my parents (dad especially) make it seem like im failing everything and will never succeed or go to college. Im so sick of them. Also, my date for a dance to whom i was really sweet and nice to continued to say bad things about me which she started a really long time ago. How do i stop this crap? Im so sick of everybody! I always get put down and never encouraged by my own parents. Wtf should i do?

Has anybody here ever tried a laxative prank on anybody?

This past weekend I tried getting my friend by baking it into brownies before we went out to the club. She had it, and couldn't tell it had laxatives, but once we got to the club she had to go.

Luckily for her I put a very small dose in so nothing major happenend and she had no clue what I did.

Anybody with successful experiences? just for shits and giggles

the lenient parent or the strict parent? In this case, dad is lenient and mom gets most responsibility for making sure there's discipline.

also me and her have never tried to communicate with one another b/c she says that everything i think about doing is wrong and she never approves any of my decisions.
she also says that i'm stubborn and that is kind of true but not so true either.

I mean, I realise that it's heart wrenching to do so, but, in most cases, it's far better for both the mother and the child to be given the chance to have the best possible life.

Too many young women are keeping their kids, and both (or 3 or 4 as they have more) are living on welfare or lower working class conditions...

I don't advocate a return to the stigma of 40 years ago, but don't you think we've swung too far the other way and given these kids too much credit for being good potential parents?

I love the fact that my mom is so generous, loving, caring, and an all around sweetheart. She supports all my decisions right or wrong. I love her fashion sense (I call her the diva!) since she is 53 and looks like she is 30. Not only is she my mother but my best friend I don't know what i would do without her.

I went to see him twice once every day. His own son hasn't even seen him and he gets off of work at 3:30pm 4:00pm (not my husband, but his brother). What can I do to make him feel comfortable, he is going home tomorrow. Is there anything I can do. I wish I could make a food entree', but he is diabetic. My mother in law is stressing out. What can I do to lighten the load. I have two small children. what should I do other than supporting his recovery and him?

I heard that if you play your newborn songs by Metallica and Rob Zombie and stuff, she'll want to play guitar when she grows up and it will be easy for her? That would be really cool to have a rock star daughter. DO you believe in this theory?

I think they should both get the kids 50/50 and there should be no child support or anything else. The only things they should split are school and medical bills. Thats how it should be with all people who split no matter what happened between the mom and dad. Kids need both parents.

My parents are so unfair. My brother will start being annoying so i'll tell him to shut up. He will get mad and start kicking and punching me. I won't fight back because I am older than him and know that I will get in trouble if I kick his ***. So i'll just be standin there while he is furiously attacking me when my parents come in. They just suppose that since he is so mad I must have done something bad to him. I end up being grounded and he ends up getting away with nothing. What they do re-enforces his behaviour of attacking me and really pissed me off. The worst thing about this is that it has happened many many times Should I just really fight back and teach my brother a lesson so that he knows not to pick fights with bigger people?

In most cases, step families are a bad (or negetive) situation. I wed a guy with a young daugher, & she & I loved one another. Had I known then what I know how, I would not have done it or even dated him knowing that he had a child. We had TOO many ugly moments. I love my husband very much, & I love my "daughter", but there was way too much conflict due to the circumstance. I would like to know about some happy step families.

My husband was telling me that my brother in law left his 10 month old son downstairs at his parents place while he was on a confrence call with work. He had went to his parent to see if they could watch him but they couldn't so he ended up calling his mother in law and asked her to get off work early to come and get him. My brother in law makes plenty of money but was trying to save a couple bucks on daycare. He rather spend $5,000 on a new lawnmower then $2 a hour on daycare. Well my mother in law told him she couldn't get off early but would come straght to his parents house (which is 25 miles away). When she got there my nephew was down stair crying. From what it sounds like his face was beat red and looked like he had been crying for a long time. I was not happy when my husband told me but from what he is saying there aren't even going to tell my sister in law about it, my nephews mom. Do I tell her or just stay out of the mess? He could have coaked on something and then what
