My husband and I have been married for nine years.I have two sons by previous relationship. We have two children together. He loves them with all his heart. He met me when I was pregnant with second child. He played with my son then 11/2yrs.old .My husband is the only father they know. I tried to give birth father a chance to be a father he was a bum ,would leave them with friens to smoke weed. Ihad to cut him off judge said if he wanted to see kids He should get a paternity test and then you can have rights. He never did it and never tried to contact me to see the kids that was over 8yrs. ago. In our busy lives we have forgotten or didn't have the money,we already know we are a complete family,I really would love to change their last name to everyone elses in the house. Thanks for any good advice.

It's been 9 months, since my hubby & I have heard from his child's mother..we haven't talked to her, don't know where she's at, and what's going on with her. Keep in mind, my husband, don't have ANY rights! NOT even on the birth cert. all he does is pay child support & insurance..well..until our child(ren) are born, then It's going to drop..We have proof of her neglecting the child..photos, and witnesses..our problem, is that she lives in Clarksvile,TN and we live in Northwest, Florida.. what can we do? we both fear for this child life..He's only 21 months old, and we're MUCH more stable then what she Is right now. any advice can be helpful! thanks a bunch!

We've been married three years, and have never used birth controll. We're in the process of adopting, and we hit a snag with our worker. My husband was discussing the situation with his mom, and she said we should just go do fertility treatments. I'm not interested in artifically creating a child when there are plenty of kids out there who need parents! We're also not interested in pointing fingers if one of us turns out to be infertal.

I see the was she reacts to my brother in law's step son vs the child they believe is his bio child. It's total night and day, and my main fear is that my adopted kids will sense the difference between the way they are treated vs the way the bio (or alleged bio) grandchildren are treated.

My daughter has her father's last name and we have since separated because he was violent and would drink with his friends while he was supposed to be babysitting our daughter and I worked (he didn't have a job). So, in order to do that, would I have to get an attorney or can I just file the necessary papers in the court and go from there?

I'm 13, my breasts are a bit more developed than those of most girls my age. My mom is very caring and makes me wear bras like in this site http://www.anita.com/de/en/0,1,104,1478,39236__products-detail.htmThey have 4 hooks in the back, are good bras but most girls my age wouldn't like them. They make me sweat but it was mom decision, her law. I did everything I could but she didnt back off. Though this makes me mad, she's a wonderful mom, I avoided fighting to much and ended up promising I'd always wear them as I was told. I lost the battle, not even mom's friends couild convince her. And my dad told me to listen to her cause she loves me. I know, but hate those bras. Since I lost the battle, mom won't really back off, I'd like some tips on how I can get used to those bras, especially when it's hot. They make me sweat. and have 4 hooks in the back, kinda hard to put on. But it's my mom bra law.
(I could take it off behind her back but I'm a good girl)

Who here kinda likes their inlaws, or i should say tolerates them but wishes the brother in laws and sister inlaws would get off their high horses and accept the fact that you are who you are, and that your not as "perfect" as they are (or think they are), and would stop talking down to you and making fun of you as if you didnt notice?

He has 2 brothers 17yrs & 8yrs, His older brother is graduating this year and is very good in sports so he thinks we favor him more but that is not true. My 16 yr old played sports for 9 yrs and decided it was not for him.We are fine with that. We tell him not to get on the computer and then he does. When we say something he always brings up the way we punish him n comparison to his older brother. We have tried talking to him not arguing with him that did not work.everybody will say he's just a teenager but it's gone futher than just a teenager thing. Any suggestions???? He calls his little brother names in front of me..

My sister lost her kids (Hailey and Josh) in the midst of a divorce. The father took the kids from Alberta to BC In the middle of the school year to live with his mom at a church that is almost on the verge of being shut down. The Dad's mother has no job and I am not too sure what her husban does. The father himself does not have a job as of yet . The kids are being provided either with offerings received at the church or other peoples generosity. The kids are not able to go to a proper school and get a proper education. Hailey is partially blind and needs proper eyewear and regular eye check-ups as well as medications for her ADHD which cannot be provided. Josh has now developed a speech impediment (probably due to the stress of his parents separating) and has a difficulty communicating with others around him.
