There is a girl here who continually trashes me in her answers. I have been called all kinds of names and insults. I thought there were guidelines? Some people can take a normal topic and turn it into a trash festival. I guess it takes all kinds. Best of luck to you!

Because we all want to be right and for some people they express their self-righteousness by being nasty! It's totally unnecessary but it does make a lot of people somehow feel better about themselves when they respond that way. Also, human beings judge...it's just the way it is. But there's a difference between making a judgment and then communicating FROM that judgment, and making a judgment but then communicating from a standpoint that is kind and helpful to the person who has asked a question.

Sometimes I write an answer and read it back after I have written it and realise that some of the stuff I have said could be taken as nastiness although I mean no insult at all. So don't feel upset if you have read nastiness - it may be a simple misunderstanding!

If you will remember back to early school days, you will recall schoolyard bulllies. They get some sort of kick from picking on others, to compensate for their own lack of achivement. On the web, they sit back and hide in annonymity, and pick on others. They even do it to show off to friends about how bad they can be..
Be satisfied, that, like the schoolyard bully, they will inevitabley pick on some target that looks like an easy mark, and get the crap beaten out of them from someone who knows blackbelt. On the web, the same is true, and if they accidently pick on a super hacker, they will pay with things they did not know existed. The best you can do in the meantime, is to report all abuse. If enough people report, consistently, they will get tired of having to re-log in under different names.

On the other hand - there are a few people on answers who deliberately ask rude or insulting questions, and in this case, well,
....

because people are just assholes and just cant help but put theirs out there all the time for people to kick it... its rare these days to find people with a shred of consideration for other peoples feelings and beliefs. a lot of people are way too self absorbed to care about anyone but themselves.

I think you take it the wrong way, you ask questions so that we can answer them for you so if you don't wanna read what we say then that's your choice, If I answer a question I try and tell them they was I would want to be told life isn't sweet so therefor I don't sugarcoat anything.

They think they can get away with it. Its just like people driving cars. Outside the car, they're prolly nice people, but once behind the wheel, they turn into idiots just because they think they are invulnerable.

I think those people are probably either young kids, or very angry adults who bottle things up and take them out on Yahoo! Answers people. Don't let them bother you. They aren't worth the trouble.
