Yes, and no.
YES if you go to private agencies. Figure BIG money.
BIGGER money if you adopt from a foreign country.

NO, if you contact your state agency that handles adoptions.
That is what we did. Just took time and some paperwork. Worth every thing we went thru. Our child is now age 15.

Go through the health department. She may not be able to get a baby but there is a possibility there. There are so many children who need homes. Just contact your local health department. She may be able to see pictures of children on the web if you look up your local area.

Buy a book called the complete adoption book. Also there are alot of good web sites just google it.

My parents adopted my little sister when i was 12, it took awhile but it was not really that hard you just have to be patient!

We found it very difficult to adopt within the US, so we we adopted from China.
