my dad isnt the nicest person.he smokes,and lives in mississippi.(he only works there)when he is home he dosent do anything but sleep,fuss and when he is in a good mood he takes us somewhere.how can i get him 2 spend more tine wit us?does he really want 2 do anything wit us.is he ashamed of how we act and live?does he really mean the actions he presents.or is it because he isn't home except 2 days a week and dosent know how 2 show how really cares because he isn't used 2 our normal routine?help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! be nice and anwser the way u think i would or have answered ur questions.10 points if u answer the way i'd like.

I don't know really what to tell you.. have you talked to him about this?? I am a father myself... and I know often times I may seem to be preoccupied or not generally paying attention... sometimes people may just be under a great deal of stress... maybe it's hard for him being so far from home for so long... I wouldn't assume that he doesn't want to spend time with you... I don't know him personally... but I know with my kid... I can't think of anything I'm more proud of... I can't imagine that your father is much different... I'm sure he loves you... maybe talking to him about this would be a good start...

Jennifer, I don't know your dad and I would be doing you no favors by speculating on this topic for you. But I will tell you this. There is ALWAYS a special place in a dads heart for his "little girl".

write him a nice note telling him how much you miss having him gone, tell him thanks for being a great dad and working so hard for the family. tell him you want to spend some time with him next time he is home.
