I am going to meet my so called soon to be mother-in-law, and father-in-law for the very first time and the truth is, i am feeling pretty nervous about everything, since my boyfriend and i come from a very different backgroungs ( i'm Asian & he's italian).....but thanks God we're all going to his niece's birthday party on this day, so i hope the focuses won't be entirely on me since i'll be the only Asian sitting at the table with a whole bunch of Italians, which make me even more nervous. I wouldn't know what to do or what to say to his parents and they are very very italian.....A nice suggestion or advice will be very appreciated, Thanxs Peace out.

Well, i've got first hand experience on that one. I'm itaian and i've been to Italy. It all depends on if you're worried about any stereo types towards you. All italians love beauty. So show off that smile! Stand up straight and greet them like they are already your friends, but with the respect they deserve as your family-in-law. You'll be fine. Oh, and wine is always a good thing. Just don't let the niece see it! Karma

All you have to do is be yourself and enjoy their company. Italians are very friendly people.

be yourself italians are very loving in my experience but they dont like fake people.

just go and be yourself your boyfriend is happy with you that should be good enough for them and by all means be yourself becouse one day they will see the real you
