MY mother in law is divorced from her husband who was an alcohlic and was emotionally and physically abusive towards her.
My husband did not see his dad for 14yrs. following the whole mess. He was 16 at the time. About 4 years ago he has formed a relationship with his dad again. It is not the typical father son relationship, but he is a good grandpa to our children. He does not drink any more and has not for the last 6 years. My husband's mother is still angry with her son. She tells my husband that he must have forgot all of the terrible things that have happened and she gets angry when she hears that we have visited with him. He definilty has not!! She says that that man has no right to be called a grandpa. Who is right here. I say that my husband was a kid when all this went down and it's not his problem. She will not get over it and rightfully so. I am just tired of her butting in and drilling my kids for info.

ok basically i live with my bf and his brother and the brothers gf when she comes to visit i feel uneasy around her when she comes round she helps herself to food but she does clean up after her and its not all the time but i just felt anger she may visit from my knowledge 3 times in a month but coz i am at work i cant give an exact number. we have had our arguements in the pass but i was sure we resolved them she said she never had a problem with me and that i was always complaining and made her feel uncomfortable to come and visit so we discussed it and i told her that she is free to come whenever and thats wot she has been doing. but i get the feeling when she is around although she makes the first move and calls and txts me that she waiting for me to trip up and say something bad so she can cause trouble and i always feel i got to watch what i have to say. me and bf plan to get our own place but cash is tight at the moment. so it is best to ignore what they do and b happy with bf

My sister had surgery 5 months ago on April 5th, it was a brain surgery to remove part of her brain. she can't walk and really can't talk. I am having to help her out, and I do alot to help my parents out. I know its the right thing and my parents tell me every day. But I am about to lose it cause I get so frustrated. What should I do?

My sister is 18 I'm 27 and shes staying with me because she would be homeless if I didn't let her. She cant stay at my dad's because she does drugs. She comes into my house and starts crap with me when I tell her she's not to sleep all day. I have two kids and am busy with own life, my husband wants her gone because of the stress she puts on me. What do I do? What can I do?

Thoughts on an mixed race relationship?
What are your guys thoughts on mixed race relationships? I am in one currently - I am a 21 year old British Asian female and my partner is white. We have been seeing each other for about 5 months whilst working in London. He is a mature, intelligent individual whom is well travelled and very respectful towards my culture. However when I told my parents of the relationship they were upset to say the least - and I feel this wouldnt' be the case if he was Asian. I've spoken to him about it - and his parents are very accepting of me

What are your thoughts? It is so fustrating!

I'm a 26 year old guy. I really don't like to talk about my penpal life, i'm not that kind of person tht tells everything. but on the other hand my parents are like that, and my mom is asking me to tell her stuff. he he. Should i open more with my parents? i'm a reserved, quiet person generally , i don't even talk to my parents that much even though i live with them.

My seventy year old grandma wants to watch my two young children (1&3 years)if I get a part time job. She doesn't want paid for it and we have no money and I probably couldn't afford to work if I had to pay someone. I have no doubt that she would take good care of them but she does have some health problems and I'm worried that it might be too hard on her. She insists that it won't be. Should I let her do it, if not, how do I tell her that I don't want her to without hurting her feelings or making her feel incapable?

Has anyone in a blended family noticed a difference even subtle in the way the step parent treats your bio child? I just notice my husband (my son's step father) doesn't say hello or acknowledge my son's prescence when he comes home on Sundays from spending time with his own father. It really bothers me. I observed one Sunday he didn't even acknowledge me son only to say "Take out the trash it is full." I feel uneasy about this.

recently my mom and dad have been fighting alot. im not concerned about their getting a divorce - im indian and indian parents rarely divorce. i dont think that would happen. my mom stays at home so she doesnt have a job and stuff and my dad always gets annoyed at her for SOMEthing. they're always arguing and junk. my mom cries in front of me all the time, and it really hurts me. my dads not much better. it seems like he never even TRIES to make her feel good. mom told me not to talk to my dad about it. i want to, but i dont want to betray my moms trust or watever. and my moms birthdays coming up in like ten days - should i maybe do something special for them or something? idk, but i need ideas!!! please help!!!
