Family - August 2006

my husband doesn't want to have children. I have tried to convince him, especially for the past 18months but he doen't want to hear anything. So.... I am thinking of leaving him, move on and given what it takes to find MIster right, well... I am considering having a baby on my own.
My husband and I were together 10 years this summer, 4 years married.
Making a baby 'by accident' with him is not an option.
I live in Manchester, I have a full time job, I rent a room at the moment in a house.
I am 34years old and refuse to wait any much longer to have a child.

As it is special day- he is becoming a teenager- I want to give him something special. I'm racking my brain over his present. He's really into computers and computer games, but he probably has a lot of those,plus I'm not a big expert in that area.His mom couldn't help me either. Please, advise!

Girls here seem to freak out at the thought of seeing a male family member naked. Live in the same house with someone and its bound to happen. And if theres nothing sexual its not even an issue really. If someone slips in the bathtub and gets hurt and theres no same sex relatives there to help what are u gonna do? Let em lay there? My sister and adult stepdaughter have both seen me and neither are scarred for life over it. Ive seen my sister..not my stepdaugter (omg the wife would kill me)

I always keep thinking what my mother wants and what she is thinking. I am a good doughter at least I thinks that way, I take care of her good or I try a lot to keep her happy. But some times its imposible. I have tow jobs when i come home she complains or some times she is not in good mood it does effect me and i feel strees around. What should i do how should i dont feel guilty all the time. She always tells me i am out side the house but what can i do i have so many bills. And its hard to survive in one job as of write now.

I'm 54, male, live alone, no kids. My life is mess and sometimes I think about giving it up. But I got to knw a boy who´s now 15. His family situation is kinda bad, his mom died when he was 2 yo and he lives with a friend of mine who he calls mom. Fr about a year I've helped this kid as I can. I became a kind of father fgure to him. Now there's a link beteween us, I worry about the boy, he's part f my life.Some days ago he was really down and I told him life is a gift from God, things will get better, he's not alone in his teen years, etc. A lot of things I myself don't belive at age 54
This boy has been a wondeful experience for a man who couldnt have kids, but I was on the verge of taking my own life. I'm still a very depressed man. If I take my life, how will this impact the boy? I dont understand why God put this boy in the life of a troubled man like me.

the girl next dr is 15 and dad has custody he also has a gf and he makes the 15 yr old stay home while he goes out all the time he has money to date but not for the daughter to go to the mall for clothes what can i do to help he gets upset if anyone trys to say any thing but the daughter has trouble w./ depression due to this help please

and then equally abusive relationship with my in-laws. My self-esteem and self-worth has always been down. My parents always told me that I deserved to be all alone and that no one would give a care about me. My mother said to me a million times when I was growing up that she wished I would die.

I am 31 now, and hate myself to death. My husband is great and very supportive, but I cannot pull myself from depression. I have emotionally shut the world out. Even my husband. Pls. tell me how I can help myself besides counselling.

My mother died 4 years ago. before she passed all of us would get together for holidays, go places and do things. It was great. Since then it seems like I am the one who is making the effor to get the family together. i have started a newsletter to keep us all informed about each others families and have started a new tradition of having 4 get togethers a year. the thing is that my older bro and younger sis have slacked on their duties and see nothign wrong with it. they were supposed to host the boys/girls parties this year and they didnt, so my older sis and i ended up footing the bill. i live an hr away from them all, they live about 15 minutes apart. they never see each other. they never come to visit me. always excuses (no car, no money) and i am sick of it. the get-togethers are to show our kids just how important family is but it seems like that isnt the way it really is. I am ready to wipe my hands clean fom them all. Am i wrong for that? its always on me to do it all!

people lie about who is their kid and u know it is wrong?
I know someone who say her husbands kid is their kid and he is in his 20's. Y would someone say that a kid is theirs when he is not?
he has a mommy...he doesn't need you to play mommy for him.
he's in his mid 20's for cryin out loud!!!!

anyone know of a good family law website for the state of cailfornia? i would like to look up facts on what a fathers options are when the mother of his child doesn't follow the court ordered visitations. she never showed up to drop off his daughter for his visitations and we now what to go to court to get at least 50/50 since she is older now, and i want to know what the chances are of us getting her.

My husband says his parents love me. I feel so much dislike towards them for what they have done. Like when I got pregnant, not even a congratulations just a Oh. When my husband just told them about me needing money to re-new my license. He wasn't asking for money he was just making conversation. She says " I'm sorry but she is not my daughter in other words a nobody to her. I am just the girl who married her son, the girl who had her grand kids. She doesn't like my sisters because they don't say Hi! Why do they pretend to like me-- when they are always talking behind my back.They don't believe me when I tell them things. They babysit the other grand kids but never mine. When I need a ride to an appointment they never can. They said I made my son shy, and I'm thinking then how come my daughter is so talkative and outgoing. I said children have their own personalities...no child is exactly alike. They go to church and are so religious. Then why do they act like such hippocrites.

my mom worries about me when i'm with a guy. she never tells me not to go out with them, but she doesn't approve of it either. i can tell that she worries about me, but she never says anything. recently, i found out that my mom was raped when she was younger, but she never told me about it. i had to learn from another family member. you'd think that after that experience she would tell me to stay away from men because they're all bad and stuff, but she doesn't. she never tells me to be careful, and most of the time, she doesn't even ask where i am, or who i'm with. when i stay up too late, she thinks the worst of me, but she knows me and what i'm capable of, she doesn't have to worry about anything. i've never really had a talk with my mom about anything. not even "how was school?" "fine" she doesn't even know any of my intrests. so why won't she communicate with me?
