if a monther goes that long without seeing her child or even trying then she is a deadbeat mom ,, her parental rights should be terminated and she should go on with life, or be put in jail for abandoning her child

Are you 100% sure the mom is alive/okay and able to call? If not, maybe the daughter should give mom a call to check on her? If mom is in fact okay, then the fact that the mom can go without calling the daugher for months means one of two things to me, either 1) The daughter is an adult and maybe the mother and daughter are not very close, had a falling out, or are just busy with their own separate lives, or 2) The daughter is young and the mom obviously doesn't give a damn or she'd be there raising the daughter instead of somewhere else where she would have to call from?

I am in the same type of situation with my daughter. She is a very difficult person to love and we do not communicate at all. She comes in & out of town every 6 to 8 weeks, she has a 6 yr old daughter that lives here between me & my mother that she goes days on end with out calling herself. She is very self centered and verbally, mentally & emotionally abusive to my mother, her daughter & me. So I stay away from her...
So unless you know all the facts don't judge...

they dont care! Have a sis-n-law that hasnt seen her child in a year! didnt even call to tell her happy b-day on her b-day! childs only 2, but age doesnt matter! She just doesnt care, hell she has 3 other children that she gave up her parental rights to! A mother not callin her children will be something I will never understand?

My mother goes years without calling me, and I don't give a shitt. If this daughter doesn't care, then I think you should move on as well.

not all mothers are adiquate mothers..some mothers may think thier kids are a mistake... maybe ur the father...so u show that daughter more love then shes ever seen in her life

I don't know. I have a sister like that. I call my sons frequently and they call me. I'd go nuts not talking to them and their kids.
