Try not to get angry of affected when you think of bad experiences/bad things they've said, and then just remind yourself that they're THEM and it's up to you to understand why they're acting like that. They're entitled to their own opinions, just the same way you're entitled to your own.

Make an effort to be polite and civil so they won't take anything additional against you. Also observe important holidays, etc. and send them the obligatory cards, gifts etc.

Keep yourself busy and remember that they don't think about how much they dislike you 24/7 so don't stress too much about it.

Everyone in my husbands family love me (cousins aunts uncles etc.) except my mother-in-law. I don't know why but she can't stand me. I finally decided early in our marriage to just be myself and try not to let it bother me. I always remembered her birthday, anniversary and holidays. She has never ever remembered my birthday or anniversary and rarely Christmas. I have been married to her son 36 years and I still do these things for her. I often wonder what she tells herself when she thinks of me after all these years. I can sleep nights and that is all I care about.

tell yourself that they are not able to see what a good person you are.

tell yourself you don't NEED their approval to be happy or to be a good person.

reduce their importance in your mind- plenty of people lead great lives even though their "in-laws" don't like them-

You can't. The only way is when you finally realize that your feelings can't be hurt anymore by what these people say to you or think about you. Best wishes.

What you are failing to tell us is why they don't like you anymore...

By implying that they did previously like you, it makes me wonder just what exactly happened to change their minds. If you have done something to make them dislike you then maybe you should try to amend that.

I just consider that if they don't like me anymore, that is their problem, because I am a likeable person if someone cares to know me. That works for me
