Let's say a person who is important to you,
Is behaving coldly towards you,
Would you, treat "like with like" and treat that person coldly as well?
Or would you on the other hand continue to be nice and open to that person?

What's your answer? I don't know what's mine.

Ignore the reasons why the person is behaving coldly towards you. The focus of my question is on what is the best choice I can make to take care of myself and make myself happy in this situation?

Ever since I have been married to my hubby, his mum, sister & brothers wife(maria) have always made me feel like small. I am a phd student and occasionally model for t.v, I am very happy with my career so dnt appreciate the way they make me feel. There's always comments like "you put on weight", my hubby's sis always make the indirect comments "so & so doesn't need eyeliner because she has beautiful eyes", my sis in law is always praising maria, such as how hard working she is etc. Maria has a baby boy and decided that she would rather be a housewife, she always pressurizes me to have kids, its clear that she struggles being a mum so it irritates me that she make these suggestion. I try so hard to stay away from my sis in law & maria but yesterday my sis in law came to see me, she was so nice, she even did my nails for me. Maria came a few hours later and asked if I could lend her a skirt, this was my response "I'm a size 8, it won't fit", Maria is alot larger than me btw.

College came, too busy studying and kept same moral values. im mid 20s now, with a science degree and want to have a boyfriend but dont know how? i have never been kissed, my friends tell me i need to learn how to flirt. i dont have many guy friends for the same reasons that they intimidate me. People tell me im preatty, even though im 20 lbs overweight, but i see people uglier/preatier/ heavier than me with boyfriends. help please! i was sexually molested as a 7 yr old by a man visiting our family, so i dont know if psychologically im staying away. i know im attracted to men.

I was married for 20 years. Last 15, stayed together for kids. Feel extreemely good having made the decision. Kids are doing great. They are mostly with me. My wife (ex) was an angry person and never satisfied. She verbally abused the kids and me. We are all glad she is gone.

I don't think I will ever have the courage to get married again. I do however, like women very much. I have a few problems though. Between the kids homework, house work, and paying the bills. there isn't much time left for anything else. Also, I am not sure how someone will feel if I am upfront about my desire never to get married. Do women even consider such relationships or they just want someone to grow old with? Like to hear from men and women who are in similar situations.

Two of my good friends have had a fall out, and so they do not speak to each other or try to communicate with one other in anyway. They're still my friends and I'm still friends with both of them, so they're not friends with each other, but they both still consider me a friend.
The tricky thing is, a lot of the time there are situations where I have to choose who I spend my time with. I then have to tell the other that I can't accompany him. I feel I'm letting both of them down every time I do this, and it's hard for me to tell them when I can't accompany him because whenever I tell either *Phillip or *Ben, I can tell in their voices that they're disappointed and either annoyed or left feeling abandoned.
I read something in a book which stated, 'Don't blow out friends repeatedly. You're letting them down if you do. And within them will grow an accumulation of disappointment. They will eventually, most likely, let you go. Beware the piracy of indifference.'

I am moving away from where the FOB is, and wondering how filing for chld support from dif. state works. Does he HAVE to come to the hearings? How will he know I've filed? Paternity testing? What if he refuses? About how long does the process take? What are the biggest deciding factors on how much money is given each month?
I personally never imagined myself in a position quite like this. Thans for the help.

My husband has known this girl even before he met me. They never hit it off. But they still kept in touch, talkin about whats goin on. Just a few months ago, she wanted to come over to meet with us and hang out. She is asian too like me and about a year or two older than i am. Her home was about 45mins away. The 2nd time, she called us and wanted to meet with us again. Take note, she has a bf and didnt bring her bf twice now. I made dinner and we had fun. Now, my husband and I were already thinking that something is weird: it makes me think that she wants something weird. We couldnt figure it out. And then again, just a couple of days ago, she called and said she wants to come over and see us and then she asks me if it was okay to sleep over "in case she gets too drunk to drive" she says. And again, the bf isnt with her again! That night, she calls the bf to let him know if she is going home or not and i heard her say, "yeah im with my friend right now" and never said anything about...

I don't get it! I knew she was staring at me because I could see her head turning at the corner of my eye, then I would look over and catch her looking then she would look away from me, but then the same thing will happen again only this time she starts complaining! What type of 'game' is this?

Why do many people settle for looking like sh*t?

I'm not talking about anything extravagent, just looking presentable.

I know we have bad times, like a few months after having a baby or surgery, I'm not talking about that.

I love a girl but we're just friends. But she teases me often and often do funny things, like pointing out her tongue to tease me and doodling on my paper. She seems to treat me differently by teasing me a lot and sometimes pretending to be mean to me. But she's kind to me and helps a lot. We're in a lot of same school stuff. There are actually a lot of funny sweet memorable things that she did to me (like those teases).

But there's this other guy who likes her too and sometimes they talk although the conversations reduce over time (they talk more a few months ago). They talk not much but she seems to be interested in talking to him, though she doesn't make attempts to see him and be with him and don't joke around with him. I'm not sure if she texts or chats with him.

Today I got the news that that other boy is planning a hanging out with my class (me and that girl in same class). From his class only a few join. I heard from a friend that the girls in my class are joining and I assume that he asked her first. Should I come? I hang out with her in groups quite often though...

I don't know. I'm confused. Somehow I feel I should just stop loving her...

Okay please help.
We were going out for 5 months on and off and i really loved him. He lived 40 minutes away and i only got to see him at the track when he raced BMX. i saw him about twice a week and it was okay. Then the winter came and his racing season was over. we only got to see eachother about once a month but we loved eachother A LOT! Now we are separated and its been about 2 weeks. He said that he cant move on but its the best for us. I agree but still.. we still talk but its really awkward. Usually after a few days we get back together cuz its hard not being together...

this is another question that goes along with earlier one. my sisters husband was on the computer late last night (1am) and i gone down to watch a little tv, i was sitting on the couch with my back toward the den. he came out of the den and said to me that he was going to bed, i didn't say anything to him. he came up behind me and kissed my neck and reached down and touched my chest. from the back i look like my sister because we both have blonde hair. but i have a much much much smaller chest then my sister. when he touched me he let go real fast. earlier i asked if it could be intentional or an honest mistake. now i am asking should i tell brenda (my sister). they have been married for 12 years with 1 child and he is 35, i am 17. do i tell my sister what he did? do i let it go? i don't want to cause problems between my sister and her husband. i am having trouble dealing with my own relationship problems. i don't need this one if he meant to touch me.

We are married 13yrs, with two boys, ages 4 & 7 and its come to this, where I need to make a "sex date" with her, so she arranges for the kids to sleep over at Grandma's.

I don't know what is wrong with my wife, but she won't have sex if the kids are in the house, even if they are in seperate rooms, sleeping. The only time we are able to "do it" is when both kids are at school and I'm off or "working out of the house". That is rediculous. We have sex about once every 2-3 months and were only 36/37. That is way below the norm and I'm sick of finding other ways to relieve my tension.

My long-term boyfriend's grown daughter never says hello or talks to me whenever she comes over to her boyfriend's house to chit chat with him when I'm there. Nevertheless, I found out from my boyfriend that she made me a Christmas present that I'm not supposed to know about. I asked him why she did that when she never pays attention to me anyway, and he wouldn't say anything.

My husband and I have been married for 4 and 1/2 yrs. We no longer sleep in the same bed and have sex like once every couple of months. I have asked him repeatedly why we do not have sex, if it is something wrong with me or if it is him and he gets very angry at me and will not give me a straight answer, just lots of different excuses. Sex is very important to me because I feel that it is another way of showing your love for the person you love but he says he doesn't see it that way. Am I wrong? I am very hurt and depressed over this. I same cranky and irritable and do not feel like he loves me anymore. The other aspects of our relationship is good but this one part is ruining it all. I know that he is not cheating on me but I am not happy anymore. I have tried to talk to him but all we do is end up arguing. I am on the verge of ending my marriage because I want a man that wants me sexually. What should I do because I do love him and want this to work?
