How bad can this go if we decide to have such an arrangement?

By the way, we're friends and neither of us could imagine dating each other. The friends-with-benefits idea only came up because we're both single and lonely. Please advise.

Just be advised even if you have no plans to date sometimes the sex can cause you to have feelings to that person. Sometimes just a sex relationship is just what the doctor ordered and keeps life simple. But keep your guidelines defined. No need to call, etc........THen you can truly just enjoy him for orgasms!!!!!

Well, you like him or else you wouldn't want to have a physical relationship with him would you?

This is all about communication and honesty.

Add respect, compassion with respect to each others feelings, and a frank discussion of jealousy, possesiveness, and the possible escalation of feelings for each other.

You have a crush on him, which indicates that you would like to try a committed relationship with him, is that right?

There is nothing more beautiful than people who are attracted to each other making love. As you know, when two people care, cherish, want, and love each other, that experience is magnified incredibly. That could certainly happen.

If you've never been with this guy, chances are that your feelings for him can translate into the best lovemaking experience he has ever had. For you, too. It's a short step to a real relationshjp from there.

It's important not to overlay what you are contemplating with emotional issues right now. If you decide to go ahead with it, just keep focusing on the physical aspects of it and enjoy yourself.

You've got to really work to have an understanding of where he's coming from. You're offering nothing but physicality and companionship right now. This may be enough for him at this point, and for many reasons he might not want to become exclusive with you - these reasons may have nothing do with all the things, sexual but otherwise, you can offer him.

I'd say, make love with him like he's never been made love to before!

But understand that this isn't a conventional relationship and that you shouldn't necessarily, at this point, expect him to reciprocate the deeper feelings you may have for him. If that is fated, it will happen.

Eyes wide open, enjoy yourself, and as far as your emotional involvement is concerned, here's a good phrase: No expectations, no disappointment.

You sound like a very special woman to me. My guess is that he will figure this out, too! I hope so.

Good luck!

Yup. Because you start to develop true feelings for this person, and the other guy is like 'well hey were just fuc.kbuddies nothing more' and he won't develop those sames feelings for you and in the end you'll get hurt.

it will completely screw with your emotions and you'll end up getting clingy and jealous and wanting more and he won't give it

atleast that's what usually happens
there is the rare like 1 out of 50 chance that something will happen

I think its a bad idea to do it with someone that you don't have a crush on, but then again maybe I'm just too old-fashioned.

well he will think of you in a different light... and he will not respect you as a 'woman' as much. tbh its your choice but i think dont do it and instead if you are ready to to this go out with him or something instead because in the end it will only be you who looks bad x
