I am very worried about my family. First off, my little [8 year old] sister NEVER listens. She has to argue about everything, and if she doesn't get her way, she will either start crying or just keep arguing. She argues about e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. It is a never-ending fight living with her. Even of my mom and dad threaten to take away playstation, toys, t.v., etc., it just gets WORSE. If you tell her that she is punished she will argue and cry even more. She thinks that everything is all about her, and she is VERY annoying. She tells me "shutup" when I don;t even say anything!
My parents can't take it any more. My mom already has to take medicine becuase she has high blood pressure. My dad is just tired of it.
My main question:
What can I tell my sister to make her listen to my parents and not argue?
What can I say to her when she is arguing??
THANKS!!!
10 points to best answer...

Would you forgive or at least feel better if your spouse/partner took you to the person the affair was with, broke up with them and then told them that their intention was not to have a relationship or leave their current partner, but because he/she was lonely?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost six months and over a week ago, he told me he needed a break. He hasn't called or contacted me since. I don't understand that if he loved me so much, like he say he do, then how is it so easy for him to not contact me at all. I don't know what I should do. I miss him so much, but he's not responding to my e-mails, or phone calls. I never saw this coming. Yes we had our ups and downs just like any relationship, but I never saw a break up coming

I don't have any family and the holidays are coming around. My Father died a few years ago and my Mother is an alcoholic with severe mental issues and even though I have gone to her home for the holidays in the past, it always ended with her getting really drunk and being mean and there is always a fight.

I always seemed to have a boyfriend so going to their family's home for the holidays seemed like a nice option but this is the first year I am single. Thanksgiving is a month a way and I have no idea where I am going to go. Soon after is Christmas, etc....

I am getting the feeling that I am going to spend the holidays very alone and it makes me sad. I will have no one to eat with or exchange presents with. I know it sounds stupid but I was thinking because I had such a dysfunctional family growing up, maybe I could experience the holidays with a nice, normal family. Does anyone know of a family rental service?

What if you found out you were pregnant, in the middle of planning a formal renewal of vows? And your husband tells you he would now like to wait until you've had your 10th anniversary? Would you put a stop to the plans until the baby or babies were closer to two years old? Would you change your venue from formal to casual to accomodate toddler/toddlers? Opinions please.

in cases where women have an affair, then give birth to the lovechild of the affair, but not tell their husband, and then one day he finds out about the affair, divorces, get stuck with child support thinking the child was his, has a dna test, and then confirms he is not the father, and then stops paying child support for the child that is not his. legally however courts have ruled that once "bonded" to the child, that the man still must pay child support or face jail time. in effect the courts do not want a single mother ( from divorced or just single ) to be on welfare, they want a man, any man, to pay for it, it is not necessarily in the best interest in the child, it is the best interest of the state, it is the only crime ( fraud ) in which a women can commit and the courts will take her word ( there is no verification like DNA testing when naming the father on a birth certificate ) at face value

I have already put a rubber band on the kitchen sprayer and asked her to get me a drink of water. I am looking at some more ideas, ones that won't get me in too much hot water, more like harmless ones, or ones that won't get me hit on the head with a frying pan while I sleep

I have been living with someone for 15 years in the state of New Jersey. It is my condo...he gives me a little $ each month. My question is...if I die, will a judge say that since we have been together so long, the house will be his. I have a will and everything is going to my children. I hear there is no "common law" ruling in NJ as of yet. I did ask 2 lawyers and they said there would be no point in making a "living together contract." Can anyone advise me please??? I am terribly worried about this.

When I was 19, I got involved with a man who was 36 (yes, he was married then). I loved him, but after about 3 months together, I broke things off. Still, over the next 3 years we hooked up with each other about once every month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. We talked and laughed and loved. I was crazy about him and he was about me. I knew he could never leave his wife for me and I never asked him to. I always settled for what part of him I could get. When I was 22, I got married. This ended us for about 5 years. Then, we met up with each other again. I realized then that I still loved him very much. But, I had made a committment to my husband and I honored that committment. My problem is that I still love this other man. I think about him every day. I miss him so much sometimes that it breaks my heart. He called a couple of months ago and said he still loved me too. It's not about sex. We haven't had sex in 8 years. How do I get over him and move on with my life?

I was talking to my boyfriend about this and I expressed to him that I have no intentions of changing my last name. I have had to spell my first name my entire life, but my super easy last name makes up for it. If I were to take my boyfriend's last name, then I would be spelling both my first and last name for the rest of my LIFE. Besides that, I really just like my name and it just seems to fit me and be so much of a part of me that I could not imagine being called something else. He became kinda upset and feels it is only right for the woman to take the mans last name. He asked me to compromise by hyphenating. That is not an option either. He feels that my independent nature is the real reason behind me refusal to change my name, but it really is more about keeping my identity...the person I have been all my life. Am I wrong? Selfish?

Can you actually stop loving someone or do you just ignore the feelings you have, put the past behind you and move on with your life?

Assuming there was no abuse, no cheating, no fighting...things just didn't work out due to circumstances beyond your control.

I'm just asking because at what point, without a legitimate excuse, does it become acceptable to withhold sex? Obviously marriages are important, but at what point do you say enough is enough with the sex issues. I am asking not as much for myself, but friends of mine who have wives withhold sex on a regular basis and we were talking about his the other day, so just curious about people's thoughts on this subject.

okay, so my parents ignore me. I'm 16, my cerfew is 11:00 pm, and my younger sister (who is 13) has a 10:30 pm cerfew. Does something sound odd with that? My sisters hang out all the time, and I'm forst to stay home and chill by myself. I haven't seen my boyfriend in weeks.
Does this sound normal?

Am I just overreacting?

I don't think this is fair by any means, but my parents pull the "I'm not going to get into that.." phrase all the time. I think its crap.

If you could help me out that would be wonderful. I'm a really good girl, and I don't lie or go behind their backs and do things.
I just don't understand.. the way they treat me makes me feel like i'm a little kid, and I don't want that at all.
*if you have any suggestions, or any thing to ask/tell them, or bring to their attention, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help!

after when all the dating is finished, and the real, solid relationship starts for a couple, at that point how long do they wait until they start having sex? most of you are probably going to say it depends on the person or something like that. i dont want to hear that, give me a number, a time frame. i want to know the statistics. what is your opinion? my opinion is 6 months until people start having sex if they are in a serious relationship. how long do you ussually wait?

My best friend's wife cheated on him, and he left her. He's been living with me for a month and a half. A little bit ago, he told me he's been talking with her, and he's thinking about giving it another shot. I think he's stupid for even thinking it because, "Once a cheater, always a cheater." I want to tell him that nicely, but I'm afraid it'll drive him to her. Would you tell him, or would you just be there for him when she breaks his heart again?

Ok I know that every relationship has problems and that marriage takes so much work especially now days but lately I feel so alone in my relationship. I feel I can not talk to my husband and I find that things between us seem hostile a lot lately. He never seems to care that I am upset, hurt, concerned etc. He claims that he is but that he does not show it the same way as me. I can be crying and he carries on like nothing is going on at all and this makes me feel so alone and empty. He shows no emotion at all accept when he is angry and then all I get is yelling and stuff. I do not like to put a lot of my personal business on here but I really do feel confused, lonely and alone right now and I am scared of what is going on and at the fact that I think of leaving at times but at the same time I hate the idea of being without him. What do I do?

Ok well a few nights ago we had family over and some friends as well. My stepdad is always rude to them, he puts them down or just ignores them completely.. Well the other night things got out of hand, first off he was giving my 5 yearold little sister alcohol while she was on vikadin for her fractured foot.. later on the night it kept getting worse, and near about midnight he got so pissed off and was about an inch away from beating all of us up. He was drunk that night, but he acts the same even when he's sober, and that scares me so much, what if one night he completely loses it and gets the gun we have in our house and shoots us.. I am terrified to be around him, I dont feel safe in this house anymore and I dont when i'm at other familys houses because their allowing my stepdad to be on the property, and I'm scared to be anywhere near him... I dont know what I should do, and I cant move out legally yet because I'm only 16, and i'm kinda afraid to get a teachers advice from my school cause police can end up being involved and things can escale even more... I'm going to move out when I turn 17, but thats 4 months away.. How can I make it through these 4 months until my 17 birthday so I can get out of here?? What should I do??
