When I was 16 years old & a junior in high school, I was busted by my momma smoking pot (weed) with my friends & when my pops came in from work, she told him. This time--he didn't ground me. . . He went outside & broke what seemed like one of the longest & thinnest switch I ever seen & ordered me to what he called his tool shed. He then blocked its doorway with me in there & OH MY GOD. . . When he got through with me--I was covered in welts & cuts but can say that til this day, at 40 years old, I have never smoked anything or had the urge to. WHY? Because of that switch whipping my pops gave me (being that he hadn't whipped me since I was around 10 or 11). Now, my son has just turned 16 a couple of months ago & guess what? His football coach busted him smoking pot (weed) & notified me & his momma. Of course, we are trying to raise our son with new age parenting methods but obviously--they aren't working. Should I bring him to the "tool shed" like my pops did me?

he thinks im not really having "fun". i admit i am quite but that is only because i have nothing to say or we are listening to music or something. he asks what wrong and i say nothing because nothing is wrong. then after a few minutes i try talking to him and he doesnt wanna talk. then i get mad. then we dont talk for the rest of the day and then later he calls to talk about it. I usually end up saying sorry when i feel it is not always my fault. what do i do???

Hi there. I am 30 and met what I thought was the woman of my dreams. She seemed different: wants a family, caring, considerate, funny, cute etc. She just told me that she's been with 16 men. She's a little older. I'm 30 but have only been with half that. Is this too many? Should I just walk away?

Let me just start off and say that we been together for about 2 yrs now. I never had any issues with my boyfriend and I trust him and I know he would never do anything to Intentionally hurt my feelings. This year we both started college at two different schools about 4 hourz apart. At first he would call and txt me all the damn time but lately gettin ahold of him has been a task. and when i ask he's says it just school and that I should trust him by now. It just that he is always on my mind and I dont know what to do about the situation. All my friends just tell me to move on go on to somebody else but my heart is telling me no. What do you think i should do?

Ok so im in class right, I show him my drawing he says "So why WHY are these stars here?" and I said because thats where I put them and he says "But why John? Why WHY?" and so I go redo it but class is over and when I get my stuff out of my locker, sunset is approaching when i leave class and when I start walking home I hear this "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" AND ITS THE ART TEACHER!!!!!

He chased me 10 miles to my house with a giant branch that is really sharp! I mean its like he wasnt looking at me to his eyes were wide open laughing THE WHOLE TEN MILES LAUGHING AND TRYING TO ATTACK ME!

He ran so fast I couldn't get my car when I got out of the building and when i got up to my apartment he was 2 feet away when I shut it his hand was in the door and he yelled "AAAARGGH" and he pulled it out, and he has been standing in front of my door with his eye in the peep hole for about 3 hours now, not moved an inch, I have no phone and I am so damn scared I blocked all my windows?

I found this guy on myspace...he goes to my school, and his sexuality is "unsure". I sent him a message, a few months ago (several months ago? idk) about how I was gay and feel free to ask me any questions. We are the same grade btw. Anyways, he never responded to me. Now that I am back in school, I see him practically every day (it's not a large school, but it isn't really all that small) and remembered his unsure status. I went and found him on myspace again, still unsure. We have never talked (no friends that we both hang out with, no classes that are the same, so it would be weird if I randomly talked to him at school. I want to message him again, but I don't want to be creepy >.< if I ask him about his unsurity, would that be stalkerish? My best friend/cousin got arrested for something serious and now he is no more in my life. Someone I used to call everyday is gone (he lived in Florida while I live in Illinois) and he was the only person I called on such a frequent basis. Now I hear from him once a week if that and he is no longer the partier/womanizer that he once was.

Not to mention one of my best friends from childhood died a couple years ago.

How does one deal with the loss of people that were significant in their lives? I now have nobody that has been 'tenured' in my life for so long (since i was in preschool).

I'm a full time mom,housekeeper,gardener,slave,doctor,lawyer,consultant,and loving wife.I do everythingfor my family and my husband, I LOVE THEM very much but the thing is my sister started this day for uswives that we should have a sat. to ourselves to do whatever all day, no questions asked from the hubbies!! The engagement ring is 1/3 karat white gold. its about $1,000 and the wedding band is $1,000 and that includes sodering them together, cleaning for a lifetime and if the diamond gets chipped or anything they will fix it all for free. but everyone keeps telling me that its to much but my thing is I have to wear it for the rest of my life....and he is buying it so I don't really have a choice if he gets it then I'll wear it. So I have been dating my girlfriend for a year and i love her to death. We met at work and i knew who she was because she dated another guy i knew but that is not how we hooked up. After falling for her i had learned that she has been intimate with a few other ppl. Shes gotten with a few past boyfriends and a few random hookups (which i do not like at all). She says she used to be a little heavier and had low self esteem but i just dont think that excuses being an idiot. My mom, for whatever reason, likes to grab my arm when she's mad and dig her nails into my skin.

It hurts...

She treats me like sh*t compared to my older brother too...

My dad said if she hurts me, and I do anything about it he'll beat me up... Me and him have had fist fights before, but that's because he's a drunk loser.

So, would you consider that physcial abuse what my mom does to me?... Like I have dead skin all over my arm from her.

And I told my uncle [Finally] and he said if anything bad happens I'm welcome to stay with him.

But he lives in Ohio... And my parents would be on him for "kidnapping" because he picked me up because I was getting hurt.

So I don't know what to do. I love my uncle mroe than anything and I woud love to live with him, as opposed to my parents...

So I just don't know what to do?
