I dont consider myself extremely shallow or picky. That's not the problem here. The thing is that girl does not turns me on. But I have just had like 2 dates with her and I think it is too soon to discard her. With other girls I have fallen in love instantly there was just physical attraction and it didn't last for long. Therefore I think that just focusing on looks would be stupid. Anyhow, in the long term she has to turn me on, no matter how good her personality is. I am searching for that. If it comes out, that would be great if it doesn't, well at least I can say I have tried.
I must add, that she's just 5.11 and I am 6 feet tall and she is not the kind of girl that you will normally call hot. But i do not mind about that as long as I end up liking her. That's the main thing here. Apart from that I think that the fact that she is not a hottie will mean that she may have other things that compensate that. I don't know how will it end, but I know I want to give her a try.

I am a widow, he is with a woman he has lived with for 15 years. He says they don't have a good relationship. We have not had any physical contact whatsoever. We were in constant contact recently during the course of moving his parents, my in- laws. I really enjoyed being around him and talking to him. He made me feel so good about myself. All I know is this is the happiest I have been and the best I have felt since my husbands death. He tends to be a flirt so I didn't want to read more into it than there might be but once when he called my in-laws he told me that he missed hanging out with me. This has sent my heart and mind spinning out of control. I can not get him out of my head. He's the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night, not to mention all day long! Now there is no way that I think or compare him to my husband. They were two totally different people so he is not a replacement for my husband so banish that thought.

my partner is so strict. He treated me like a kid. I dont have the right to do my own thing. He always blamed me. And he told me that i'm insecure and he's not insecure. I couldnt go out with friends w/o his permission. All my friends are good. I dont go with friends who are bad influence. Most of my friends are girls. And i dont go with a guy friend. He get mad also the way i dressed, well infact, i am just wearing with sleeves and just bit fitting shirt, for him, i'm provoking guys.My goodness, i dont wear mini skirt, shorts, i'm just wearing that in a swimming pool bec. i'm not allowed to wear swimsuit, i could wear swim suit but not backless or clevege not showing, and wear a short on it. Im just like a prison.I couldnt go out with him with the clothes that he wanted. And the part thingnthat i dont really like is he wants me to be fat not only fat very fat. He told me i could wear what i like if im already fat. The worst thing is he's violent.

My significant other has a 14 yr. old daughter, I have a 14 yr. old son. We are thinking about living together, but I just don't know how much hassle it's going to be with his daughter going back and forth every other week. He adores her, so presently she gets all his attention the week she's around (because we're in separate houses, we rarely see him, and hardly ever see her the week he has her), and her parents seem to compete with each other to keep her happy and entertained (holidays, vacations are split or have to be negoiated with the other parent). Already the kids don't like each other, so my question is: will this just be too much for me and my son? (I'm widowed.)

I had been plannin to talk to him about some things that were bothering for a bit now, but decided to wait till our trip was over so that he could just enjoy his time with friends & family, but we ended up getting into a heated discussion & well..its didnt go to smoothly, and i have no idea what to do or think right now..our probelm?
lack of communication, not necceassarliy talking on a reg basis, but when i try to reslove issues or discuss something that bothers me, he shuts down! i know thats supposed to be the typical guy thing to do..but geez! 1.Never calls me rarely does, always texts, somehow we text each other every day i dunno why we just do. We have very random convos.

2. Never ever askes me to hang out, but when i do most of the times she says yes.

3. Introduces me to her friends and acts like she is lost of words around me, only at work..but when we are alone she talks like no other, when i compliment her she kinda blushes and goes thanks in a shy way, but not when other ppl do it. but thats no reflection in her personality by all means shes a touchy feely confident over the top type.

4. Lets me in her personal space the first time i met her, she slighty touches my back, grabs my wrist then lets go after a second or so, the 2nd time i met she puts her arms around me, and basically touches me more.

5. She basically ignores me at work, just saying hi, never comes to help me no more, never askes me to go to lunch no more, basically nothing, she just acts really shy and dodgy around me now...

My mum is so fkn argh! makes me want to rip her head of sometimes. I'm a A student. I'm doing good at school. I'm 13 yrs old. My mum doesn't let me do fkn anything! Its like she has no trust of me going out with friends, or sleeping over at friends house or even sleeping over or going out with my closet cousin! She has some issue with my dad side of the family and she hates them. But I love them. She gets angry when I visit my grandpa. She dosent trust me so much that he takes my mobile phones (3 different ones) I use it for emergency use and family. BUT SHE WONT FRIGGING TRUST ME AT ALL!
She always start **** with my dad when his sick and he just had 2 surgery's from his back.
It just makes me so depressed.
I don't feel like a normal 13 year old. Never was and never will. Cos of my mum.
She even has more power than my dad.
I dont know what to do..

I have a friend who, everytime she gets drunk, will hang all over guys and act all flirty without any intention of sleeping with them, then acts all stupid when they expect more from her. (Even though she likes the attention and sometimes they even buy her drinks.) I, on the other hand, will not act flirty towards a guy unless I plan on sleeping with him becuase I don't like the unwanted attention from a guy who I am not attracted to and I only let guys buy me drinks who seem like they do not expect anything from me. She does this all the time. Like she needs to feel validated by a man showing her attention but she does not sleep around.
True, I am more promiscuious than my friend is but at least I dont hang all over any guy who shows me the least bit of attention.
Which behavior do you think is worse? (By the way, I always wear condoms)

I have been with my husband for 3 years and married for 1.5years, we have a beautiful 14month old daughter. We recently moved in with his grandmother and his parents (That's another story!), I'm having a really rough time dealing with being a first time mum, a young wife, a carer of his grandmother and living with us all in the one house (his mum and I don't get along too well). His mum constantly puts me down and my daughter has had to become my 3rd priority because mymother in law is so pushy... I threatening to leave and he says nothing, he insists that he does love me but wont even pull his mum up when she verbally abuses me... I don't know if I should go as I love him so much but there hasn't been a day this whole month I haven't cried...

I have a beautiful big house to move into where we don't have to pay a cent and no one else will be there.

my ex.so we broke up about 2 months ago after 3 years.so me and my friend were suppose to go out the other night but she did not answer 4ever.she left me hanging so i waited 4ever and then i saw her getting off his truck..so i said wats going on and why she ditched me.. she said that they are just friends and have been talking lately and that they had just gone to the casinos.. they never "hung out" before that i know of..well i was mad..not b/c i want to be with him cuz i dont and he can date whoever he wants..and she can 2 date whoever BUT as a "friend" she should have told me..whether or not they are just friends or dating.. but she does have a boyfriend so i just dont like the fact that she kept that from me.she said that she did not tell me b/c it would have been weird for me..and the thing is that she has done this b4 with sum guy i dated for a little bit.i dont think i will talk to her again.its just sad that she perferred to ruin our long term friendship over sum guy.comments?

He's very confident, somewhat flirty. I come to think he's like how he is with me to everyone. He asked to come along with my cousin and her bf for a double date. We both go to a Christian College, and she had a spiritual attack a month ago, and that following weekend she went to a friend's house, and since then, she has been ignoring me and asked me to stay out of her life, because our friendship was unhealthy. I don't know what went wrong or what to do. She was fine with me until she went to her friend's house, and after she got there she had been ignoring me. I'm afraid her friend gave her advice to stay away from me, but I don't know why she'd do that. We were inseparable, and it's killing me to not be friends with her. you've been friends with this girl for years and you've secretly liked her but never went for it b/c you thought the chances of being w. her were slim only to find out that after all this time, she felt the same way back - she's the first girl you fell in love but you two decided to stay friends and not rush (if it happens later, it happens) When things were going to get normal again, "life challenges" (death) and rumors/assumptions from friends made you two drift apart and it created tension BUT rather than giving up or seeking revenge, you two worked it out and everything is starting to be better than before, the relationship grew stronger.


the thing is we were both mutual in our feelings. Now that we're cool again, i don't know how he feels (SHY GUY type), so good at hiding things and for me, even if it's been a while and we are starting to be okay again, he will always be special to me and i'll always have strong feelings for him (i'm a "SHY GIRL" type) and like shy guys, i HATE rejection and i want that plan B IF anything were to change. I want to be honest and not hide that fact i care for him YET there's too much on my plate right now that i'd be selfish to him iI want a relationship now. And also, I don't know if he's gotten over me - maybe, maybe not...I want to be honest and show i care YET i don't wanna lead him on thinking i want a relationship

Basically I want to know if what happened was a date or friends just hanging out?

So this girl asked me to have dinner and drinks with her and some of her friends. She's an acquaintance, but I've known her for two years, in the two years, I've actually been in the same room with her for maybe 4 hours total...serious....

Anyways, so I go have some drinks with her, around 11, she asked me if I wanted to see a movie, I declined and jokingly said lets drive to Niagara Falls....she took it seriously, and we ended up in Niagara at 3am. There wasn't anything to do, so we got a hotel room, talked a little and fell asleep....well she did, I always have trouble sleeping with someone new.

So we get up the next day, went to the falls, casino, shopping, walking around the whole bit. At the end when I dropped her home, it was just hugs, and kisses on the cheek.

Hmm, was that a date or just friends hanging out?
