To pay for so much? The engagment party gift, shower & gift, dress ,shoes , hair makeup ,bachelorette party,wedding gift etc!! Its insane , I know I could have declined but I didnt realize how expensive it was going to be.
Heres what my latest freinds wedding has cost me
$100 engagment party gift
$385 bridal shower contribution
$215 dress
$45 alterations
$50 shoes
$40 hair
$75 makeup
$ ? bachelorette party (she wants an overnight in atlantic city)
$ 200 actual wedding gift,the plates at her wedding are $90 so i have to cover that at least for my guest and myself!
Is it like this everywhere? I live on long island & ive heard in other parts of the country weddings are more relaxed.

for fulfillment? where do we try to find it?
1. wife/husband. what if we find it's not there, then what?
2. employment. what if we lose our job, then what?
3.family. if we see its not there, where do we turn?
4.money. money can buy alot of things, but rich people seem to be more miserable.
where do we search? Seems to me, if I seek total fulfillment from any of these or others, and I lose them, then there goes my fulfillment...... thoughts? where do seek it from?

My ex husband is playing mind games and power games using my 9 year old daughter as a leverage , we've been divorced for 7 years seperated 9 years , he emotionally , verbally abused me and emotionally , verbally and physically abused our 2 older sons 17 , 15 , he turned his back on our 12 year old son refusing weekend access to him 5 months ago.

His last weekend access visit he didnt take our daughter because he had to go interstate for work or so he claimed I later found out through his mother he'd taken his g/f and her daughter out of state for a dance recital the daughter was in I didnt care because I enjoy having all my kids together on weekends , when my daughter rung tonight to have her weekly phone conversation he put a guilt trip on her because the school holidays start this friday and I made plans for her myself and her 4 brother's to go away , he told her it wasnt fair he missed her heaps and he was really looking forward to seeing her she started to cry .(CTN).

what should i tell them becasue all kids at my skool saty up to 10 if not 10:30 and i have to go to bed at 9 olclock.....i have recentley been allowed to stay up to 9:30 but the parents sed i refused the privlage by staying up to 9:35 to see the end of the show......how do i approach them again.....

I'm not sure anymore.. In the past I wouldn't want to do anything that could hurt someone's relationship... but if one of them's not into it physically anymore isn't it already kinda over for the great sex part at least? I've been with my girlfriend for around a year now, and although she is pretty and has a great personality, i dont feel it will work out in the long term. We just want different things in life and i can see it being a problem in the future.

Recently shes been telling me how she wants to be with me forever... and how she cant imagine being with another man. This has got me thinking... i should really break up with her before she starts getting too serious.

The problem is i know it will mess up her emotions, i dont really want to hurt her. I've been honest with her in the past, telling her how we are just two very different people, but she always says its a good thing because life would be boring if we were all the same.

Its not like i've been seeing any other girls or find other girls more attractive... its just i cant see it working out in the long term.

What should i do or what do you suggest i do?

My husband and I have been together for nearly 7 years and we have a one year old little boy. We're currently looking into buying our first place but he's acting like he's not interested or bothered. I'm the one making all the appointments with the real estate agencies and searching for properties to look at. At the last appointment he didn't even want to go see it and I ended up going alone. I don't get it. He says he want's us to get our own place but why isn't he showing any interest or effort?
He's since more cold with me and distant and acts like a child having tantrums. My friends say he's feeling the pressure of having to make a huge loan but everyone goes through this. I'm tired of feeling like I have 2 kids to look after.

I have been sleeping with this guy for around 3 years now but there is no commitment between us, I fell in love with him the second I met him and even though I want something more from him, I've kinda settled for the sex....He says things that make me think there is something there but then treats me like crap the next time I see him. I mean in terms of marriages with big age gaps. You see I am a 20 yr old girl and love a man who is 22 years older than me. The age difference does NOT matter to me because I love him and his wonderful personality. He is the ONLY man I feel this way about. I want to marry him. But, I have an aversion to people staring, talking (about the big age gap), etc.

To me the above quote is quite relevant. Age does NOT matter, unless you are cheese or wine.

I dated a guy for over 2 years and broke up with him about 3 times becuz I am so busy and never see him. i really like him but he let himself go...a beer gut, yellowish teeth (very nasty-total turn off). i tried to give him hints to work out and use whiteners for his teeth but no luck. Yesterday i have quarrel with my mom and it has occurred a couple of times....I told her to go to hell and die as early as possible and she said the same thing to me...It was like hitting the nail on my head and i felt so frustrated and sickening and heart pounding...I can no longer bear with her as my health was badly hurt by her attitude..And she's got some mental problems too, which i told her to go see doctor but she never listened...So after so many times' contemplation, i've come to the conclusion that it's time to move on and to take my own pace without her, towards the end of the road...Life is so unbearable and without her affecting my emotions and decisions, from now on i'll continue to move on in a new light...
