You are probably the person that can answer this question since you are with him day in day out.
Seriously though, I think he just didn't want to reflect or be reminded about this sad situation and only time will heal this wound. Let him know and feel that there is love and comfort within his immediate family and let him overcome it naturally.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do for him as he will just say you dont understand. All you can really do is just be there and let him know you love him and will be there for him when he is ready to talk. It honestly may take a while, i have seen it take years, but you can not pressure this or it can worsen trust me. Good luck with this and I hope he finds strength in your love

Just try to be understanding, and tell him that you are there for him if he feels the need to talk about it. Everyone handles grief differently. He will come around after a period of mourning.

You need to give him some time ..... to come out of this shock ....

He needs to be left alone .....

Once in a while give a kiss on his forehead .....

Massage his back ......

Massage his hairs with your fingers ......

Give him hot coffee .....

While sleeping in the night ..... keep tapping on his heart (gently)
