I am considering creating a wedding gown similar to the one shown on the following page.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/43853125@N00/sets/72157594293585553/show/
I love this gown, I find it dramatic, elegant, memorable, classic. I love that it has part of the gown black. However, while I may be more offbeat, my husband to be is from a more conservative family. I would hate to offend my boyfriend and his family. I think that black is a very misunderstood colour. Black is a sign of strength and fertility.
The thing that I also love about this gown is that if somebody doesn't love the black part as I do, they can just take pictures from the WAIST UP!!

Thanks for your help and comments!!!

And also, should I decide to goo with this gown, should I warn my boyfriend that my dress is "white and another colour?" I would hate to see him look disapointed or shocked (in a bad way) at the end of the aisle...

thanks again for your help!!

I'm 20, in college, and I dont drink or party, never have really. Is there something wrong with me? It just doesn't appeal to me. I guess I'm really nerdy because I'm focused on school and trying to go to law school.

Am I going to regret not drinking or partying in the future?

Am I a loser for not partying or drinking?

I know a girl who always makes it a point to flirt with a guy I'm dating, interested in, or even simply talking too. She'll interrupt us, ignore me and talk to him, etc. Are women like this insecure? The guys I'm with don't really respond to it. But it makes me not to want to be with a guy around this girl. It seems like when women even have their guy, they still act this way. Am I being too passive?

My boyfriend and I are newly engaged, and he did a FANTASTIC job with the ring. It's just perfect, and I love having something to see, that represents our commitment.

But what about him? I would love to give him something that serves as a reminder of how much I love him. And of my devotion. He wouldn't wear a ring...maybe another piece of jewelry?

Guys out there -- what would you like? Girl -- ever given something to your fiance? I appreciate the advice!!

My sister is also getting married and my parents think it would be easier to do them both at once since they are paying for them. I want it to be my day. Is that selfish? What should I do?

I hope not. I'm single & want a boyfriend. I'm 23, almost 24 & I'm single. People tell me that I'm not missing out on anything. But I want to get married & have kids someday. Make my own family.

I have been married for a year and we are expecting a baby early next year. My husband is loving and supportive, but completely lazy when he comes home. He leaves his pants and socks all over the floor. Smokes in the house although Im pregnant and leaves the butts in glass of water all around the house. He leaves coke cans everywhere, never picking them up, Leaves the glasses on the night stand completely covering it. Never picks up after the dogs unless I yell. We have argued about this more than 5 times. Ive tried buttering him up, begging, yelling, not cleaning up after him. Everything. To me its a slap in my face to make such a big mess. I think its more than fair for me to do the laundry and dishes. But I think he should put his clothes in a laundry basket and the dishes in the sink. His behavior has made me feel unappreciated and Im at my wits end. Please dont talk about divorce because that doesn't help me at all. Thanks

i met this girl who recently works at a restaurant of a mall. at first, i didn't pay her that much attention to her, as she looks like if she was engaged with someone. i nor expected that she would neither pay attention to me. anyway, there was one day after seeing each other at the restaurant and hello's and everything. she came into my store (to see me)where i work at the same mall, by the way, before all that i mentioned her that i worked at this clothing store which is only men's wearing and she started taking looking around like pretending. well, finally she saw me and we had a really nice friendly talk. at the end, some costumer interrupted us and she had to leave.

the point is if she weren't single she would have either bought or asked me something about some men's items in the store, which she didn't. she just was kinda eager to see me, as she question me about my personal life and so...and nothing else... what do you think guys but no haters please!

Ex. I of course was a toddler at one time and many people would comment to my mom what a joyful and energetic and happy baby I was jumping up and down, on beds, toys, and laughing all along. I still do today (although not the jumping part). Am I born with Joy, or is it instilled in me this way by mom?

Well, after 6 months dating my 20 y/o loving baby proposed to me! I am happier than ever, but sometimes I wonder if the age difference is not too big and if he won't regret about marrying an older woman. He is pretty mature, is in the army, in deployment right now. He wants to get back the the States and build a family right away. Sometimes the rush sounds son romantic, sometimes it feels just like passion. Help plz...

After 8 years of living together my partner (at the time) decided to move out. Now 3 years later his family (mother, father and sister) found out I am engaged to be married to another person, they wrote me a letter letting me know they want to stay in touch, still care about us (my daughter and I) and would also like to know why we split. I guess like in any situation I feel that I was right and he was wrong.

I do not want to give them grief, I would like for them to stay close to my daughter; however now that I’m faced with a situation that I can’t handle by myself anymore I wish someone could smack some sense into my ex’s head and I think if his parents can’t do it… no one can.

I was left with all the bills because they were under my name and had to file for bankruptcy; I never filled for child support or custody but I’m afraid I have no choice. I’m currently working 24-7 with my parents building a new company and not making enough money.

How can I say this in the nicest way possible? Theres a guy that really likes me, but I like someone else. I just want 2 b friends, but he always wants to hug me and wrap his arm around me. I get soooo uncomforatable, but the thing is that hes not a bad guy, I just don't like him. Hes a great friend, but 1) I couldn't see him as anything else, 2) i really like someone else who pretty much likes me back. How can I break it to him that I don't like him that way? Iv told him this but he doesn't listen-_-, i don't want 2b mean, but hes not the guy I like. Plz and thank-you.

Second marriage for both, 4 of the last 5 anniversaries she has been on her period which isn't a problem (she takes care of me before and after). Here's the story.

We left on vacation from Bakersfield CA to go to the North Coast of CA (cooler weather) with plans to stop on our way back at the Konocti Resort at Clearlake CA (we wanted to check it out because we planned to attend an outdoor concert there in a few months). I told her it would probably be hot there but that we would only stay one night.

After driving 3 1/2 hours we arrived at the parking lot of the resort. While we were still sitting in the car, she said, "I don't like it, it's too hot besides I don't have any warm weather clothes". I said, "Let's just look around" and she got out of the car with an attitude and walked into the resort's office.

We looked around inside for 2 minutes, my wife with her sunglasses on and I said with attitude, "I know it's bright in here" and she blew a cork.

I gave my husband (who I am seperated from) primary custody of my 2-year old son because at the time I did not have the money to hire a lawyer and my husband had me cornered. I have 50/50 visitation, meaning I have him every other day/night. I am seven months pregnant and I want to ensure that when the baby is born that I will continue to see my 2-year old as much as I do now. Do I need to have a court order to do this or can I get my husband to sign a document saying that the situation will continue as it is now when the new child is born? I have certainly made my share of mistakes but want to make sure that both of my children lead a fullfilling life, and losing time with my son is a heartbreaking thought.

Just wondering because it seems like questions from females get more answers than questions from guys typically. Maybe it's coincidence, maybe that just from my experience, or maybe something else who knows...

What do you think?

But if i don't act how my family expects me to, they start accusing me of using. if i sleep too much i'm high, if i'm angry i'm high, if i punish my son, i'm high. And they seem to find it nessacery to share with the world that i'm a drug addict. i'm not proud of what i have done but i'm trying to get ahead of it and i feel like they won't let me. i tried to enroll my son in a private school and the first thing out of my moms mouth was, "oh i'm here becouse she can't pay the full tuition becouse she uses drugs"!!!! what the hell. I live in california and my income is 830 a month from which i have to pay almost half for my car and insurance and not to mention food, gas and other everyday needs. I'm i wrong for wanting them to shut up????

If that's true, then wouldn't they not be able to carry on a thought AT ALL? How long does a thought last?
Wouldn't that mean that they would masturbate atleast 5 times a day?

My one year anniversay with my husband is August 2nd. We have planned for awhile now to go stay at a hotel by the beach from the 2nd to the 4th of August and just have fun! Now, his step-dad is meeting his long-lost son for the first time on the 4th and wants the whole family there. This sucks! It ruins our anniversary because I was looking forward to spending the whole weekend with him. Plus, his step-dad's side of the family treats me badly. They treat me as if I am intruding and I don't belong. Am I being completely selfish about this????
