Ex. I of course was a toddler at one time and many people would comment to my mom what a joyful and energetic and happy baby I was jumping up and down, on beds, toys, and laughing all along. I still do today (although not the jumping part). Am I born with Joy, or is it instilled in me this way by mom?

After having had 4 children I would say it's a little of both. You were lucky to be born a happy person and your mother added to it by being a good mother. Congratulations to both of you. We need more people like you in this world.

Could be a bit of both scenarios. Regardless of what is responsible for your Joy be grateful and remain Joyful as there are so many that are not. A Joyous person is one who is fun to be around and loves life so keep up the good life.

We are born with personalities.

Many happy homes have quiet children.

Many quiet parents have happy joyful children.

it's genetic and nuture. give ur mom a hug and thank her for not "squashing" ur joy. i've seen it done.

i would personally like to thank ur mom for raising a happy child, that's the greatest achievment that anyone can contribute to society.

i was like that as a toddler, but i got "squashed".
