I have been married 7 monthes now. When I visited my parents in law's house just after I got married I saw one picture of my husband and his ex-wife and thier 2 kids together in her living room. Now she doesnt display that picture anymore but there is another picture of my husband and his ex-wife and his brother together. She has lots of pictures of my husband and his kids in her living room but not a single picture of me and my husband together. I know she has got lots of pictures of me and my husband together.I dont know what to think. I thought me and her really get along. we often talk on the phone and my husband said she really likes me and I really thought she really likes me too. she always said the kids really likes me and how great I am with the kids.Do you think I should ask her? Why she doesnt have any picture of me in her house? But I dont wanna be rude. It is her house she can hang anypictures she wants. I just feel like I am not a part of family.

Seriously, I wanted to believe that the common stigma associated with marriage was all a myth, but now I'm living it. I really do love my wife, but what the hell prompts her to be so damn annoying? Why does this happen so much in marriages?

My best friend is getting married on Sat. It is to be small and they have indicated no gifts. They have both been married before. I don't feel right not getting something to commemorate the day so would like something subtle but unique. Would really appreciate some ideas that you have used yourself in these circumstances.

I want to work out our problems but he seems to want to give up. I love him and he loves me. Lately, since the word divorce has come into the relationship, he does not show me any affection. He used to always hug and kiss me. But now I do it and its only then he does it back. He is confused. He says that it is too late for change. I have changed the way I treat him, and he the same. But he just does not want to see the outcome. He is giving up. Then he told me last night that he will stay with me and that we will see what happens. Maybe he will go or maybe he will stay. He does not know yet. What should I do until then? I have a daughter, she is not his, she is 9. We told her last night that we might get a divorce. She took it well. Is there anything that I can do to help my husband make up his mind? Im hurt and confused myself.

First: when a man says 'she's a great piece of ***', what exactly are you saying? what constitutes great sex ? Is there such thing as bad sex? Would you go out with the same girl if she didn't completely meet your expectations sexually?

My favorite color is pink and my mom's favorite color is burgundy. My fiance and my mother are practically paying for everything, so the least I could do is incorporate her favorite color into our wedding theme. But, one of my bridesmaids mentioned that burgundy is too deep a color to be used for my wedding. I don't think there is anything wrong with it though. So, I need opinions. My wedding date is March 08, 2008. Its not EXACTLY spring yet, but it isn't winter either. Comments??

Why are so many women so uptight and against having 3-somes with their husbands..My husband and i have 3-somes all the time with men and women and its really fun..Dont these women realize that a 3-some is every mans fantasy..My husband said if a wife ask her husband if he has ever had that fantasy and if he tells her no then he is lying..He is only telling her what he knows she wants to hear not the truth..My husband said if a man has never had this fantasy he is either gay or lying to his wife and he says most women are in denial or just plain naive and i totally agree with him.

Do you think you should leave the past in the past, by this i mean friends from school. I have recently been on websites like friends reunited, myspace and facebook and found practically all of my friends and year at school.

I have been chatting to some of my best friends of the time and it feels really weird, as we were so close then and so different now.

What does everyone think about the past, do you move on and distance yourself from it?

I have been told i'm wasting my time :s

I'm 29 and he is 34. We were having a conversation the other day and he stated that it would be ok if I was pregnant. I told him, Ist i am not married, 2nd we leave in separate homes, 3rd i am going back to graduate school. His response is that can be fixed by moving in together and hiring someone to take care of the baby. When I asked him about marriage, he says he does not want to do it again and he is only 90 percent committed to me. He says marriage is just a paper to sign but i do not know how to answer him back. I am extremely in love and hurting so much. I have asked him if there is anything i can do, he says its his problem. But i do not believe it.
Every time I ask him to discuss this further, he is always busy and does not have time.... . Help, I am in pain and cant stop crying.

My mother in law recently lost one of her sons. Everyone is learning how to cope. Seems that now shes more controlling of the rest of her "kids". They are all growing men. But now she feels lonely and angry because they all married and they are moving on. lately shes being verbally about how she hates her daughters in law to everyone in the town. And she doesnt stop calling the house every morning and night. She invites my husband to have dinner at her house because she does not want to eat alone!! He calls me to see if it is ok! What should I say? It is a routine now. Shes constantly needs control and attention. The other son that is married cant stand her ways neither the daughter in law. Now is me having to deal with this. I have proof that shes talking behind my back. We are trying to put our life together to have a family and a house someday and she offered in "generosity" to sell her house to us cheap. With a condition that she will live there with us!!!!!!!!!!

previously I asked a question about how to handle the inevitable stress with my step father and father in the same room when my fiance and I get married. I have decided to NOT have my step-father there...here's the problem...

I am very non-confrontational...this WILL be a confrontation. He will be angry and his anger will make ME angry

(long story short- my mom passed 5 yrs ago and had left me a sizable amount of money- my step dad needed money- in a lapse of judgement I allowed him control- with the promise he would assist me in my debt once his was cleared- he does not feel I should have any of the money- which he has actually spent all of. He quit his job and has been driving around the country aimlessly)

I maintained a relationship with him out of respect for my mother and because my son loves his grampa...

obviously, this will be a defining moment when I ask him to not attend my wedding...any suggestions on how to do this?

My girlfriend's daughter ran up her cell phone to $300. My girlfriend warned her daughter about peak minutes but she didn't listen. My girlfriend took the phone away from her temporarily, but still allows her to use the house phone and text whenever she wants. We have been dating for 8 months now so I decided to give my girlfriend my opinion and said "You shouldn't let her use any phone unless it's an emergency." Then my girlfriend snapped back at me and said "How I discipline my child is my business!"
I then calmly explained that I'm only thinking about our future. I told her "Your child isn't even in high school so you have to teach her before it's too late" I explained that I didn't want us going through the drama of a problem child and I told her that she wasn't doing her daughter any good by not teaching her. She simply got upset with me and I can tell that this will surely be the end of us.
How should I handle this?

When you're in a MARRIAGE / DIVORCE section of Yahoo Q and A, why would you waste your time and everybody else's by leaving a negative comment or something stupid like "sicko"? I hate to break it to you, but SEX is a part of marriage! So if you're offended by topics of sex between married ADULTS, then do everybody a favor and move on. If you're not mature enough to handle the question, then don't bother answering! Chances are it doesn't apply to you anyway.

One is 11, the other 13, both sweet girls. We have a good relationship, I treat them with much love. I like tradition and at home I make them wear frilly pinafore aprons, even when they arent doing chores. It's the cutest thing, they look adorable in them. Her aprons are like that at http://www.inthestarlight.com/aliceapron.html They don't like that much, especially the 13 yo, but they obey. My 13 yo old gets a bit embarrassed when she wears it in front of her friends or strangers, but everybody says they look adorable. They are not exactly forced to wear them, I just ask, say I'd love. When one of them they say no, mom, I just say oh yes hun, pick he pinafore and gently put it on her.I don't force, just ask w/ love and use a bit of my authorityif they rfuse. Of course, they cant say no to their mom and I love them so much.
