Men make the decision mostly on looks and personality. Besides looks, men want a woman who doesn't complain and nag much and is able to go with the flow. If she can make enough money to support herself, that's a plus. Most men will want to avoid a woman with financial headaches.

A woman that makes money, sounds like 90% of the women over 18 in America. 40% between the ages of 16 and 18. It should assumed that a woman has a job if she is over 16. That is my thoughts.

All things considered, is she kind to children and elderly, considerate of others time, feelings and opinions (including mine). Is she a "cold shoulder" person or an open heart and mind? Is she educated, and resourceful, affectionate w/o wanting anything or being asked too. In good physical and takes good care of her health, exercises self-discipline in use of time and energies. Can hold an intellectual conversation and not just an airhead.
To me money makes no difference, I see the inside, if she fulfills the "good" vitures above it does not matter if she is "rich or poor" I would fall for her in a heartbeat.

Yes. No guy wants a freeloader any more than a woman. Part of an effective relationship is much more than looks and sex. Money is a big part of it. It's just the reality of the matter.

A good question :)
Answer 1 - good catch
She has drive. She will be able to join her man socially and intellectually. He will know that she is with him for him, not because he can keep her.

Answer 2 - bad catch
She is a career minded woman. She has more time for her career than for him. She is so proud of her achievements that he becomes resentful and/or lacking in self esteem (probably more his problem than her's though)

If the fellow is a conservative, it doesn't really matter at all. A liberal, on the other hand, prefers an income there. According to some men and some personality types, the guy doesn't appreciate his wife making more than himself.

definitely. a self supportive person (man or woman) is more attractive than one who is dependent. Ask yourself this question: would you want to date a guy who makes no money and has to rely on his parents for everything? Plus, a person who has no job has no, or very little, experience in financial responsibility. Earning money is part of being an adult.

Not to this guy. It's nice if she wants to be independent and have some play money for herself but other then that it is neither important or a big deal to me.

No difference to me. Make a million or 20K, I don't care. It only means she's doing well for herself, and I always applaud and respect that. But it's nothing to make a catch out of someone that isn't already one.
