I think thats a totally disgusting thing to do in a marriage..Your vows say "forsake all others" not "f**k all others..I think wives that agree to this are afraid of saying no cause they fear he will go behind her back and cheat..I dont think these men are truly in love or committed to their wife and marriage if they want to do this.

I'm a grown women in my 30's with a grade school age daughter. My boyfriend (never married, no kids) moved in 2 months ago. He use to help make dinner and clean up and now it seems as if all he does is play video games & play on the computer. When I ask him to help around the house (i work 40+ hours a week as well) his response is "I'm not a robot, i'm tired and I don't like people to have expectations from me". He use to help, he's great with my daughter and makes me laugh but i feel like a servant and I don't see it getting better. Should I ask him to leave?

So my buddy at work is getting married in a week, and I am usually his "go-to" person for weird customs and etiquette, but this one has me stumped;

Apparently, his bride-to-be made mention of a gift exchange between the bride and groom, and that she has already selected her gift to him.

He, on the other hand, is CLUELESS about this custom, and has NO idea what would be considered an appropriate gift.

Needless to say, we are both convinced this is another "Hallmosrk Conspiracy".

This is where I turn to the Answers community and help bail him out.

What would be, according to this custom, an appropriate gift for the groom-to-be, to give his future blushing bride.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

He's dropped out 3x already and my mother has paid every time. Recently she paid for a down payment on a Honda Accord ($1000, and he himself put down $3k). He still lives in my Dad's apartment and pays NO expenses and works part time as a teller and smokes pot everyday.

My mother works hard doing retail and basically spends all her money she makes on him. I just want her to save it. Now she says she won't be able to visit my kids from Colorado (we're in NJ) as much because she can't afford it anymore. Everytime she comes here she rents a car to take dinner to my brother and see him because he won't come to see her even though it is only a .5 hr drive.

Anyway, I told her I can't believe she is paying for his school again and she said she is not giving up on her son and her tone of voice sounded upset to what I said. What do I say, I just want to avoid the whole conversation because there is no talking sense into her but how? Just be silent during conversation

We use to date a couple years ago, long distance. The feelings were strong, but the distance was an obstacle (8 hrs). We've kept in touch. He came up up for my birthday and spent time with me in April. He still tries to come up and see me, but I'm not sure how I feel about that due to his situation. (I wouldn't want my fiance to go out of town and spend time with someone he use to date.) Sometimes it is out sight out of mind with him. Even if we can't be together now, I don't want him to be engaged. I want him to be an option. I can't imagine him married. To my understanding he doesn't live with the fiance yet. She is out of town but the next state over. I thought I stopped feeling this way about him, until I saw him after 2 years. I think I just pushed my feeling away but they resurfaced. I have mixed feelings, but I know I don't really want him to be engaged. I know that if t is meant to be it wll be, but I don't want him to be the one that got away. There is a very strong cohemistry

I am a 45 year old man and whenever I make advances to satisfy my natural sexual urge, my wife scolds me or shows an indifferent behaviour or even sometimes quarrels with me. She says I have become aged and I should abstain from sexual activities with her. This has caused quarrel between us several times but she is bent on continuing her rude, indifferent or rather cruel behaviour with me.

What should I do?

In a few hours I will be going to a friend's wedding. There should be several available women there, and I'd like to strike up some real conversations. I'm not the greatest at that, and I'm not a "hook up" kind of guy that's out for a one-night stand. I'd like to have a couple of conversations that are quasi-meaningful for a starting conversation with respectable women. Anyone got any good "icebreaker" suggestions? It's an old-fashioned Ohio church wedding where the crowd will be conservative and respectable. Good "small talk" suggestions that aren't already worn out? Thanks!

This is a very personal question but I need other perspectives. This is for serious thinkers only. Here's a guy who had a 13 year relationship with a woman, has two kids with her, tried to salvage the marriage, then in the midst of getting help from a "friend"gets her pregnant, has a baby, leaves them and is now in the process of child support, then gets in between a 16 yr.marriage that is has been rocky but is trying to salvage itself slowly but begins and thinks and claim's the wife as if it's his lady to keep? When the wife and husband try to talk about their marriage he gets upset and jealous about it. Why would anyone do this and what does this say about someone that is this way? Any analytical thinkers only need to answer. With a situation like this, what do you think would be the outcome of this "whole set up?

If you were raped by a neighbor and you reported it and the police wanted to arrest him right away while you still lived near his gangsta family (who walks around like they own the area) would you allow the police to arrest him or would you want them to wait until you moved out a week or two later.

Loyalty is so much talked about, but how far would you take it? Let say your brother murdered someone, and told you how would you deal with it? Or you son shot his girlfriend in the head and told you it was a accident? How tight would you be then with your family, would you break you silence?

I've heard of people asking for huge amounts of child support per month, and I start to wonder if all that money is really for the child or for something else. I honestly feel that there are some people out there that abuse the system. Thoughts?
