In a few hours I will be going to a friend's wedding. There should be several available women there, and I'd like to strike up some real conversations. I'm not the greatest at that, and I'm not a "hook up" kind of guy that's out for a one-night stand. I'd like to have a couple of conversations that are quasi-meaningful for a starting conversation with respectable women. Anyone got any good "icebreaker" suggestions? It's an old-fashioned Ohio church wedding where the crowd will be conservative and respectable. Good "small talk" suggestions that aren't already worn out? Thanks!

Don't stress over opening lines. Open a conversation by talking to someone in a tone as if its the hundredth time you've seen them. Good topics to start off are something really cool or interesting that everyone there can see, and a good general formula for small talk is OAR (Observe, Ask, Reveal). Open by telling a story and do most of the talking until they seem comfortable holding up their end naturally---assume most people are inherently shy. They are.
By the way, EVERYBODY at a wedding has something in common with the couple. So talk about them.
Your small talk and flirt should be non-sexual, light, and they should laugh (or at least smile) before the end of your first impression.
Also, don't make getting the digits the end of the conversation. It should be for something you found a common bond in the middle of the chat, and stay with her for at least 5 min or so after you got the digits (my point is--the conversation is not about the digits).
Make sure you call the next day. Not 3 days later.

Just be yourself....if you are a respectable guy than show it on your conversations and your attitudes...and if you are looking for the same feedback you also will notice from the girls how they react....if they are looking just for fun, they will move away, but if they are looking for the same I'm sure they will appreciate you, once in this world is so hard to find a guy that respect us!besides you have the wedding mood on your side to talk about relationships, friendship, loyalty and everything else will come after....good luck!

Since this an old fashion Baptist wedding. First check out the girls to see if any one is watching you. The best way to meet girls this way is to make friends with the mothers. Be good to dad if there is one??? Divorce??? Yo Hook up dude---chicks love that---acting the nerd... Q&A--Who killed Cain?? Was Jesus a Jew??? Did it rain 40 days and nights or was it 20 days and waited for the sewers to back up??? Is that White Diamonds perfume you have on??? If they say "NO" , it is a very nice fragrance...Kiss me?? When could I see you again??? Whoo--- is those bazookas yours or did you buy them??? You don't need a pickup line or icebreaker---just be yourself and a little on the goofy side. Your their to have fun... BRUSH THE TEETH AND CARRY MINTS.. One of the most annoying things about American golf is this stadium-like rooting. "In the hole!" is probably the most obnoxious of any nonsense folks holler out there. But I think it's a great dream! But you gotta do a couple of other things to really take it to the next level: -Take your mobile phone, even if you have to hide it. Have your buds call you when you are out there. -Make sure that phone you take has a camera. Take loud pics in the middle of the backswing. -Cheer when someone makes a bad shot, especially if they are from Europe. -After your hero has putted out, quickly move to the next tee without regard to who is still putting. All of these things will take your dreams to the highest level.

Just be casual- walk up and say... "How are you doing tonight?", my name is ____, you are? How do you know the bride and groom?.... blah blah blah.. just keep it friendly and conversation will follow! Good luck!
