You're not going to see her for an entire year? How often do you see her? How long have you known her? How old are the two of you?

If you're in a long distance relationship, you may not even know her well enough to marry her. Quite honestly, IMO your level of desparation sounds more like codependency than love.

Huseni V sounds to me like you are very proud of your partner and hopefully you'll never lose these feelings. Of course you are going to be excited if you just got engaged last night. If a terrible thing was to happen it would be difficult to go on for a while but eventually you would learn to live without her and that my friend is just a sad fact of live. However, lets hope that never happens. I just married two months ago after being engaged for over a year, so the only advice I would give to you is to start preparing now. I know that a year seems like a long time but the time will fly by so fast and before you know it you and your lady will be walking down the aisle. So get to work. Congratulations and hope that you have a long healthy and living marriage to this woman who means the world to you.

If you're already engaged and are going to be married - then what are you concerned about? She has already agreed to spend her life with you and the wedding is just a formality. Couples can even agree to spend their lives together and never get married officially. I'm sure you're just nervous about the ceremony - or maybe even the planning leading up to the wedding. You'll be fine though!! Enjoy the next year and enjoy your wedding day!

It's good that your love for her is so strong, but is it love or just love sick? Are you ready to get married? What is the rush?
