My husband has yelled at me, cursed at me, thrown things at me and around the house. He has told me to shut up, and F*** in anger. (I understand that I should leave him pleae don't remind me of this.) But I ask him why is he still here (he seems un happy, doesn't he?). He says to me nonchalantly "because I love you.". I want to know WHY is he staying here, or keeping me around? Is is becausae of sex, control, power, or is he waiting for another girl to come along first? I have noticed lately that he is working out taking muscle miland pills. He tells me he needs to be a role model for those at work USMC. He is fixing his credit report, finishing up his college classes....but he he talks down to me, yells at me, tells me to shut up in agruements, he does not try to be romantic with me anymore.. I want to know from guys out there, why is he keeping me around? Any ideas? He says he loves me, I think after he fixes things with himself he will drop me. Am i right?

we have been married for 20 yrs. during first 3 yrs my husband was still in contact with his exgirl (with the help of his family members). i left him at one point and within a week she had moved in and was living with him for about a month until we decided to try and make it work; i found out about 6 months ago that his family still speaks with her. matter of fact she is a close family friend. i am furious and very insecure about this. my husband does not think it is a big deal. it is causing a large problem in our relationship. i am even considering splitting up. i am tired of his family causing problems and i am tired of him not coming to my defense with them. he thinks i am being stupid to make a issue over this. am i?

People openly and completely talk about circumcison on the internet, such as this site. If a question is asked on about whether to circumcise a son, to get circumcised, etc, peole don't think twice about answering. Yet in the "real world" if someone were to ask if they should circumcise their son, or get circumcised for an infection, say, at the bus stop, at school, work, etc, people are likely to give the person a weird look. Unless your boyfriend asks, or a really really close friend, we as society find this topic odd to talk about. You might even find it weird if a close friend were to ask.
So, why is the topic of circumcision so hush-hush in public?
If someone were to ask you about it at a bus stop, school, work, etc, what would your reaction be?

I have been seeing a lad that works away quite a bit, he comes to see me when he is not working or on his way back home/work, dependant on what hes doing. I recently found out that he has a little baby boy at home (1 yr old) He didn't exactly tell me this but i saw a pic on his phone, and of course he had to explain.. I dont know how i feel about this or what to do. i've been told by various ppl that i should forget him as he'll always have his ex, and his little boy in his life and i'll never compete. also with his job they say i'll never be able to trust him.

However, i also look at it like, if we like each other should i call it off just because of his past. He might be the best thing that will happen to me and i'll be stupid to throw it away?!

Any help appreciated as i dont know what to do! i don't want to lead him on and i dont want anyone to get hurt.

i am dating this guy and he just had a baby with someone else and i meet him while she was prenant .but he swears that he wants to be with me he is areally good man he wants to be there for his baby and move on at the same time. should i be trying to get serious with him or should i give him his space to focus on his new baby cause I get jelous when he goes to see the baby or when he goes to buy her something but i really like him and i love the fact that he wants to be there for his child (sometimes) so what is the problem how can i get over this.

I am a european and i married a Bengali man recently. Before he was so nice and loving. After the marriage registration i had to go back to europe for a few months. This is when the nightmare begun. He started suspecting me in cheating with other men, i am sick and tired of answering the same questions. he`s like deaf. He even became very abusive. Calls me a *****. Even before i left India a couple of months ago- he even hurt me phisycally.
More than anything in my life i want to divorce him now. I can`t believe i was so stupid to marry him. Can anyone tell me whether it`s possible to file for the divorce and divorce without travelling to India? how much time and money would it take? I would appreciate it a great deal. I am a black women and I am very much attractive to white men for a wide variety of reasons. Although. I've dated black men I feel they are not my type and not to my standards. My first boyfriend of 6 years was white and Itallian and he was the best relaionship I ever had. I now attend a predominetly black college; voulunteer at a local hospital were there are white men. my husband has not been paying any of the bills,he spends all his money and says he doesn't know where it goes, he doesn't like to have sex ( he says he is at that age 48?)he does what he wants when he wants to and has no care about how I feel or what I need.
I have told him I want to go to therapy with him to work it out but he says it is me and I am depressed.

Hi,
I have dreamt of getting a puppy ever since I was a child. My only problem is my mum.She says she'll never stand a dog at home.:((((( My other family members feel indifferent about it.However, if my mom agrees, then I'll be able to get one:)She says she doesn't want a dog because it will damage furniture and it will shed.I always explain to her that there are some breeds that don'tshed much and there are many toys for dogs, so that they don't damage home stuff.But she won't listen.She says she just doesn't want a dog at home:(((((((( Can I ever do something to change her mind ???????:(((((((

ok here goes, on March the 26th 2007 my grandad william albert taylor died, he hads cancer, but thats not what got him his boiler broke and he got phneumonia, and thats what got him anyway, We all wish he was still here! you no out of all the people to go i would of thought it would of been him. My Husbands Grandma has been making some rude comments towards me when no-one (except my 6 year old son) is around.
First rude comments about All-a-Dollar (you can read more in my other Questions) well those comments stopped after I confronted her about it but now she is at it again!
Yesterday as I was walking into her bathroom, She started asking me questions about toilet paper for 5 mins. or more.
Asked me well actually told me to wipe once and if I don't feel clean enough get a wet wipe to use. I was appalled because to me you don't ask someone how they wipe and why they use alot of toilet paper (which I don't, She thinks that I use it all but when she has 8 or more guests over and everyone is going to the bathroom....get my point) and then tell them what to and how to wipe instead! I don't get it she is the richest person in our family and she's complaining about toilet paper!
I did offer to bring my own, but I still don't know how to handle this.... Any Ideas?

ok so i do have one problem with the girl i have been dating for 9 months now. once in a while she gets really smart at the mouth with me. example: today i took her into my work to show her some old photos, and i was reading one of the captions on it, when she turned around and said "thanks, i can read". now mind you i dont want to read too much into this b/c this just might be her personality and might do it with everyone. but how do i tell her that i dont like it when she says something smart to me! i dont want to start a fight, but i know that i am not the type that would say that to anyone b/c it does affect the person. so any help would be great. thanks!
