I had the same problem when my sister was about 4 and 5 years old. The easiest way to remedy this situation is try spending some time with your sister, just you and her. Play a game or read a book or tell her a story, something she likes to do. Then when it is time for you to move on and do something you like to do, get down at her eye level (kneel, don't bend over) and explain to her that it is now time for you to do something that you like to do and you would like to be left alone. Make plans with her to spend more time with her later or the following day. She will look forward to the time you spend together and hopefully, it will work like it did on my sister and she will find something better to do with her spare time than follow you around. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Anthony, this is a type of hero worship. You are her hero. You make fun things happen in her world. This is her way of telling you that she is interested in you and loves you.

I know it's a pain, but if you're kind to her, you'll have an awesome relationship with her for the rest of your lives. If you're not, you got a lot of fighting years coming up.

Use your noggin and see if you can come up with some distractions for her. Maybe let her play on your computer, or listen to your CDs. It's probably time for you to have a locking bedroom door so that you can say, "Sorry, but I need some time all by myself" and lock the door.

She's trying to tell you that she loves you. How will you respond?

part of it is looking up to you. how old is she? i used to do that to my sisters when I was about 10 and under. Then again, my sisters are 5 and 10 years OLDER than me! It drove them nuts and it took a few of their friends, who were younger sisters themselves to help me not follow them around so much. So its her age and yours that you need to think about. SHe's probably just trying to copy what you're doing because she sees you as 'cool'. Be patient with her!
