So my sister and I (I'm 20, she's 18) have always been close and really got along well. I've always let her hang out with me and my friends because I've always enjoyed her company. But just today my friend told me how different my sister and I are...she said that my younger sister is just more fun to be around and just more likeable. I'm totally devestated that my friend said this to me and plus she said the other people she was with completely agree. Like my one guy friend said that he would never even consider dating me, but he really likes my sister. It's so frustrating to me because I feel like she rides on my coattails and kind of has an "in" so it's easier for her. I'm pretty good at having a non-biased opinion and I think I am equally as fun as my sister if not more especially because a good deal of the stuff that people like that she does I feel like she picked up from me. I want my friends to want to be friends with me, what should I do?? Thanks!

My husband and I have been married 18 years. Two years ago he decided to return to school to pursue a masters in education. He was taking night classes, working on school projects and working days (we never saw him except for weekends). I work full-time and had full responsibility for our home and children. Now that he's graduated, he tells me that he loves a woman he has been having an affair with. They were in classes together and have been having an affair for about 6 months. She filed for divorce after meeting my husband - he says she was never happily married and it has nothing to do with their relationship. He says he loves her but doesn't want to leave me or my kids. I'm so confused. I love him with all my heart and don't know if counseling will help. I've asked him to go to marriage counseling - he's not sure it will help so he doesn't want to go. Should I give up or try to win him back? If he cheats once will he cheat again?

The modern idea of marriage and Western culture dictates one man for one woman for life. However, in the pagan past men tended to sustain more than one woman. Also the divorce rate seems to signal a flaw in the standard rule.

Would it be better for a man to have a secret affair and keep his family together (i.e. "cheat") or should he break his family apart in order to satiate his desires (acceptable in todays culture through divorce)?

Okay, all my friends have been to parties, and it's not just birthday parties, or everytime I talk to my friends they have a friend over or watching a movie, or gone bowling. My parents never let me do that stuff. I feel kinda left out. I havent seen a movie in over a year, and my friends laugh at me. How can I convince my parents to let me do fun stuff with my friends? My parents are watching over me 24/7, I know that is their job but still, I'm 12, I wanna be with my friends.

I'm a guy and I was with a girl and I didn't want to but she kept telling me to have sexual relations with her or else that made me that gay (I didn't wanna have sex with her cuz she was kinda not good looking and I aint a man hoe) I had to prove I was straight it was her peer preasure.

I heard it was rape when you say no and don't want to the first time but you are preasured to have sex.

My son is 6 years old and his father and i have been seperated since he was 2 months old. He currently lives with me and sees his father every second weekend. We have no court documents its just an agreement between myself and his father. I have been offered a job interstate that I would really love to take, but i am unsure if legally i can take my son with me and what i need to do to make it all happen. Id be happy to fly my son to see his father for school holidays, i still want him to be apart of his life but i also want to be able to move on with my life too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first time my husband did, was when we were on our second date and he gave me a gold necklace with a gold cross with diamond chips embedded in it. He said he felt bad I lost my pendant a couple weeks ago. (AWWW)
The second time was when he arranged a trip to Hawai'i, and arranged to have the kids taken care of while we were away. I didn't have to plan anything except which dresses I wanted to pack!

Most of the things that we forgot to see is that our boy/girlfriend is not going to be the same forever. Someday he/she will become your man/woman. So what you actually want from the boy who will then become your man? What do you want to look for if, say he's to be your companion for the rest of your life?

Not trying to upset you or anything here girls, but I have a friend who's just turned 52, She's absolutely gorgeous & easily turns the heads of any guy age 20 & over.
She's got a great body, looks after herself very well & easily passes for 35 yrs old if not younger. She hasn't had any cosmetic surgery either.
She was telling me that younger women on finding out her age are quite shocked & say how lovely she is & they hope they look like her when they reach her age.
But as soon as the guys (under 30 yrs old) start to hit on her rather than them, they become really b!tchy, even accusing her of lying about not having had cosmetic surgery & saying the guys are gross & ugly anyway, when not 15 minutes before were saying how they wished they could get a date with them.

I was wondering how you younger women feel knowing that a growing number of "older" women are fitter than you are & the fact that your guy could well find a woman old enough to be your mother, much sexier than you are.

My family is full of people who are very negative in general and they deal with things in a very negative way. I thought my husband was a positive person with goals and dreams of his own, but it didn’t turn out that way. I am the type of person who has dreams and goals in life and I like to meet those goals…and I did for a little while. Now, recently I can’t seem to meet or accomplish the simplest of goals or plans I set for myself. All my plans seem to to go un done lately and it’s starting to bother me. My husband has turned out to be just as negative as the rest of my family.
All they do is go on and on to me about how they want this or that in life, but they never lift a finger to make it happen…they don’t even try. I encourage all of them, I even offer to do whatever I can to help them make their dreams come true, but they never make any effort for themselves. Whenever I come up with any solutions for them, they always seem to be full of excuses. It’s as if all they want to do is complain about how unsatisfied they are with how things are in their lives and whine about how they wish they could do this or that. Frankly, I am sick of it and have told them how I feel because now I feel as though their attitude and way of thinking is bringing me down and effecting me. I have goals and dreams that I am trying to meet and their negativity is starting to bum me out. I can’t help who my family is, but now that my husband has shown his true colors, I am completely surrounded by negative people who only complain, but do nothing to change their situation. Is there anyone out there who can give some advice as to how I can stay sane in this situation? Your help is appreciated.

my girlfriend and i have only been going out for about 9 months. we truly love eachother and have talked about marriage and raising kids a number of times, but she also tells me that she refuses to marry me unless i become catholic. i dont know really know why that matters as long as we love eachother. is there some kind of rule or catholic law that i dont know about? she also says i will understand her issues and will be able to make her feel better if i become catholic(which i believe is bull because i dont think i will suddenly know how to make her stop from having a bad the second i become catholic) .I would really like some help and answers
