My husband is a hardworking guy in the trades. For our first anniversary, he brought me two kittens -- I can cry just thinking about it. He knew of my love of cats, and that I hadn't had any for several years. It was the sweetest, loveliest thing! Now this is amplified because he is NOT a cat lover, though he has come to 'like' them...
Another one that stands out is - I am a SAHM and once the doorbell rang around home-from-work time. My husband was at the door with his arms so full of wildflowers that I couldn't see his face! He was working in the countryside outside of the city, and spied this field with a variety of flowers - and gathered them up for me on his way home! I dried a lot of them, and kept them a very long time.
Then there was the anniversary he gave me an O!Henry regular size chocolate bar ... well, they can't all be winners!

I'm a guy...and I'm not married, but for my girlfriend (sometime in the near future to be fiance'), I had Zales custom make a cross necklace with six gems in it. We're both Christians, so the cross made sense. On the left of the cross was my birthstone, on the right was hers. In the middle was the birthstone of the month that we officially became a couple (the birth of our lives together). The first stone down from the center was for January, the birth of a new year, with the hope of many more to come. The bottom one was for February....we had a really REALLY bad argument, but I put it at the bottom to remind us that when we do have problems, we lay them at the feet of Jesus and trust that God knows what is best. And at the top was the stone from the month that we were first able to look at each other and say "I love you"... it was at the top as to say "above all else, we love each other." It actually looked really good when they got it to me, but she's almost afraid to wear it because she's terrified of losing it or breaking it. Either way, she really loves it.

My husband and I had been married for 7 years and he had just returned from a 1 yr deployment to Iraq. Since I was in 7th grade I had wanted to see the musical Miss Saigon. About a month after he came home from Iraq, he purchased tickets online for the Broadway musical. I was so shocked... it was amazing.

Hmmm, well nothing so far, except an index card with "Happy Birthday" written on it. Guess I wasn't one of the lucky ones with a thoughtful husband. The index card did, however, take my breath away, but not in a good way.

Then, toopk her to a Broadway show )( i got 1/2 price tix at TKTS).
Then I took her for Chinese food in Chinatown, NYC, then we took the ferry into the harbor for free. When we got here, I gave her a necklace. and flowers which I hit in water in the closet.

well, I went out and bought a new dress and panties and stockings and shoes without her knowing and when she got home, I had a bath drawn and put her in it. I washed her and then shaved her legs. After I toweled her off, I dressed her in her new clothing and took her our for a nice night of dinner and dancing.
