I've been engaged for 18 months and recently moved in for a june 24 wedding. Mail came today addressed to him (I didn't open it) and the ex-wife's had beneficiary info on the address. They have been divorced for over 13 years and their kids are in their 30's. This just created HUGE mistrust...they've been divorced for 13 years and the EX hates me (grandkids can't even tell the EX when they come over and bake cookies with me without her getting super upset). How is best way to handle..feel like I need to run for my life!!!

I've never been at a funeral in my life and I'm not from the states. All I know is that we need to go at this church tommorow at 11, my father's friend and boss passed and he was African American. What do you do when you enter the church, what to bring, where people go after the church ...?

My fiance's parents are divorced and between the two sides of his family, there is some event going on practically every week. I don't want to spend every weekend with them. In fact, I don't want to see these people unless it's Thanksgiving or some other holiday where you have to deal with relatives. I'm getting really sick of seeing them and am feeling suffocated. But my fiance wants to go to every single one of these gatherings! All of his cousins' girlfriends always tag along for all of these events and he prefers that I go along with him too. Do you think it isn't a good idea for us to get married? Will there be problems down the road because I don't want to see his family every week?

This is for the ladies, and guys who feel they understand women. I need a girl's perspective. I have always believed that guys cheat because they are stimulated by sight and so easily get tempted. However, women, I have always perceived are stimulated more by emotions rather than sight, and I feel like it's harder for them to cheat on a guy they claim to love.

So can a girl cheat on a guy she loves, even if she hasn't seen him in years or am I trippin' and livin' in a fairy tale world?

Basically weve been together a little over a year. My mom is angry and unaccepting because my girlfriend had previously been married and had a divorce. I love her very much, and think that the past is the past. I just want to cultivate a relationship that is not built on the past but rather looks to the future. My Mom is remarried and her husband is the best thing that has ever happened to her. I feel like she is being hypocritical having left my biological father and marrying another. I really love my mom and want her to be in my life, but with her attitude it always ends up in a huge fight. I'm also fearful of my mom trying to break us apart. either through emotional strife, or victimizing and attacking her. If that were to happen I don't see myself being able to accept my mom as loving anymore. I realize that she just wants the best for me but I don't want her ideal life for me. My girlfriend is very loving and accepting of even my inconsistencies and quirks. Please Help!

So I am 16 and about to be a juinor and my boyfriend just graduated. He is going to California to go to boot camp for Marines and I still have to stay in Texas and finish high school. We have only been dating two months but I have never felt this way about a guy before. He always says how when I graduate he is going to propose and that we are going to get married. I can really see myself marrying him but is it crazy to find you soul mate in high school and this young and especailly since we have only dated two months.

Ok, i posted earlier to mothers of adult sons and their opinion regarding their son dating a woman who had a serious drug problem as a teenager, didn't graduate high school etc. They are in their late 20s and have been together 4 yrs. She has not used drugs since she was 18, holds a steady job, and is successful.

So lets say that you are his mother and the issue is, his high school girlfriend (whom he was with for 7 yrs) is still interested and has contacted you several times in effort to get back together with him. She went to college, and is now getting her masters. What do you tell her? And do you think that is the better fit for your son? How do you approach that with him and her?

I live in S.E. Michigan and I have heard something about petitioning the court but have no idea where to start. Can someone give me advise on EXACTLY what steps I can take to do this? My son is 15 and I want to change his middle name to my stepdad's last name (the man who stood up to be my dad and his grandfather and has no siblings to carry on his name). I found a website that wants 69.00 and I am NOT paying that! Any other answers are welcome! :)

Ultimate seriousness is required in this round of questioning. No tom-foolery, buffoonery, clownishness, horseplay, jesting, joking, joshing, kidding, making light*, mockery, nonsense, spoofing, teasing or skylarking aloud, er, allowed!! I mean it, don't mess with me.

So the gist of my problem, is that my fiance never asked my father if he could marry me (he tried but my dad yelled at him). My mother told me that I should call off the wedding until he does, because if he doesn't respect my parents now, he won't respect me later.

Is this true?

The two of us and my parents have had a really rocky relationship for the past three or four years. During which my fiance had put up with more than his share of being yelled at and called various names (my parents even tried to get him fired once).

I love him, but is my judgment clouded by my excitement over the wedding??

HELP!

My husband can be really nice, then he will say something really, really, really mean or demeaning to me out of the blue. No, I am not being overly sensitive, other people told me it is mean or demeaning too. This happends a couple of times a week and he won't apologize for it, but expects me to apologize if I hurt his feelings. Are most husbands like this?

My dad is getting mad more easily now, and i guess its because of a test that hes gonna do, and some other stuff. he even told me he's really stressed right now. for example, today i needed a new leotard (cuz i lost the old ones cuz we moved) and i only have one . now he wont get me another one AND he wont even let me buy one with my own money! i dunno why. so we used to be closer but now all we do is argue, and it makes me sad :(When i go to gymnastics and dance it makes me feel better, but i dont wanna wear the same leotard to gymnastics for the whole entire month! if anybody knows a way that i can get my daddy to be less stressed?

We are getting married this year and need to find a way to ask guests to make a contribution to our honeymoon rather than buy gifts. I know that asking for money can be negative but in some cases easier for people as they sometimes dont know what to buy and a travel voucher would solve that issue. Need to know how to word it on the invites..any ideas!!

Today, while waiting for the bus, one of my guy friends started talking to the guy I like about his hair. (It used to be so long, and now he has a buzz cut. Still looks good though.) And so I turned around and my jaw dropped. Everyone around him was like "YOU LOOK LIKE A RAPIST" or something negative. I covered my mouth in a kind of a cute way, and he looked at me so I smiled and said "Aww I think it looks nice." and He goes "That's the first positive response I've had all day" and it was really cute. Did I do the right thing or was I better off just not saying it? He's in 10th grade and I'm in 9th.

My mother is a wonderful, hardworking person. In the last 5 years she has had it really, really rough. Well, things are starting to look-up for her. The thing is, her house is a wreck. It needs to be cleaned really bad, but she is working 10 to 11 hour days. I have some free time right now and would like to help make it into a nice home for her and my sisters. How should I go about telling her this without hurting her feelings?

i was just answering a question here where a man said--His son caught him in bed with another woman..Most of you went off on him and i think the reason is because you either don't understand english or did not read his entire story and comprehend what he was saying then answer.

Only 5 people got him. I do not think the Man was wrong at all. He is in the process of divorcing his wife so he is not cheating. He said he has not lived with his wife for more than 3 years. Yes it was bad and sad that the son caught them. And i do agree that the son may need help.I feel for the now.He has not had a girlfriend in 3 years and now you guys tell him it's wrong for him to

I see this most of the time where people just read the first maybe 2 sentences and then answer the question with out truely answering the question at hand.

Explains why most kids fail exams in school too. It's not that they don't know it's just that they do not taketime to read and understand the question like most of you
