Can a girl love a guy and still cheat?

This is for the ladies, and guys who feel they understand women. I need a girl's perspective. I have always believed that guys cheat because they are stimulated by sight and so easily get tempted. However, women, I have always perceived are stimulated more by emotions rather than sight, and I feel like it's harder for them to cheat on a guy they claim to love.

So can a girl cheat on a guy she loves, even if she hasn't seen him in years or am I trippin' and livin' in a fairy tale world?

Well there isn't only one type of girl out there and Yes, girls can cheat on guys they love whether they made a mistake or were promiscious. Girls cheat because they want people to understand their emotions and some girls stray because they are either bored or their guy isn't giving any attention to them. From my perspective, i think there is not so much of a thing called soul mate and all of that because let's face it, if your partner (god forbid) dies oneday, of course you are going to move on and find another partner; unless you're love sick. Life and things around keep you moving on and that's just life. Also when time passes, people evolve and change and sometimes they mature and think totally different from years ago. So yea, a girl can cheat on a guy she loves if she hasn't seen him in years and it also depends on how devoted the girl is to her guy. Some girls are truly devoted and never cheat, while other's can't stand waiting and move on.

You are trippin. You haven't seen her in years? Look women have needs just like men do. I say if you have been talking to her on the phone and writing letters all that is ok, but seriously think about this "old saying" it went like this: What his eyes can't see won't hurt his heart. Which basically means if you have a long distance relationship (which never works) and she always says everything is great (she's lying). Because lets face it, even you might have some skeletons in the closet.....anyways....thats just my opinion.

I think girls have very low self esteem when they get cheated on and sadly in a lot of cases this makes the girl almost desperate to succeed with the bloke but this just shows the guy he can do what he likes. lots of women do like bad guys especially younger girls and nice guys miss out until they grow up a bit bcz no one wants to settle down with a bad boy

But to more in-depthly answer your question, yes Men & Women do think of sex differently, and to a degree, it is easier for most men to have casual, meaningless sex than it is for most women. Of course, I'm generalizing and there are exceptions to every rule.

I also believe that cheating, whether man or woman, is not necessarily about whether they are in love with the person they are cheating against. It's also not about whether they are getting enough sex with the person they are cheating against.

Sex and the power that goes with that, can be addicting, and a lot of people get addicted to that rush of being able to both lure someone to bed, and also to get away with it with their partner. In the case of women, more than men, I also think it's a method of communicating if your needs (and I don't neseccarily mean sexual) aren't being met. If a woman's husband works too much, or goes out with the boys too much, or is too much of a slob, and she's tried to communicate how she feels about that, often cheating will come out of that, as a stronger method of communication. It has nothing to do with her being in love with the guy she cheats with, or not being in love with her partner.

Sometimes people cheat to sabotage a relationship that is going well. If there were childhood issues between their parents then they sometimes don't know how to deal with a harmonious relationship because it is foreign to them. They cheat to create drama and pain because while logically, they don't want that, emotionally it is familiar territory.

Yes- I think that anyone can cheat-man or woman. There is s popular misconception with women- we are easily tempted as well- and that is a secret that many women don’t want to admit to, but it is true! I will say it is harder for committed women to cheat, but it is possible!!

Sure. I think they can cheat. Girls can be just a sex-starved as men. Some guys are more emotional and caring, so the girl could go find a guy to cheat with.

Of course they can cheat on a guy they love... Is it not natural for us (humans) to be faithful.. We are taught to be that way. So when the situation arrives and get caught up, we are doing what is natural and not what we were taught. It's hard to fight nature sometimes... No a girl is more sensitive than a guys and shares emotions a LITTLE more and so when she loves a guy she doesn't want to loose that person she wants to hang on to them and so she would never cheat on a guy if there was something wrong with a guy she would most likley tell him so they can fix it or break up but she wouldn't cheat on a guy to solve her problems...
